So this is spoiler free thread??

I have so many questions from the last episode..but don't want to ruin it for anyone..

Put them in spoiler tags. You've got me kind of curious, as some things have come up previously (like Rusty's relationship with his boys), and some other things shouldn't be a surprise (like Sirena).

Though I don't remember any reference to the 'famous villain' they were so in awe of. Seemed like a not-knock-off Dr. Doom in some ways, or at least not the joke Underbheit is. Seems more like Red Death- suddenly there was a generation between Venture Senior's playful romps and orgies, and Rusty's generation of incompetents, and that generation was Seriously Hard Core.

This is what I am thinking about on episode 7-3 Arrears in Science

Spoiler:

So.. Who opened the air lock??.. there is so many directions they can go with this...

Manstrong - We all know he is mentally unstable and survived the occurrence some how.

Rusty - another person that was shown on the space station and always leaving his toys everywhere,
wouldn't surprise me he "accidentally" pulled it.

Red Death - He is telling the story but can be putting his own spin on it.. We do know every time
his plan is to just kill everything.. The basement / Dummy Corp.

Here is a long stretch of some others that could blind side us

Jonas - During the whole episode Gary keeps talking about clones and body copies when climbing up the side
of the building, is this for shadowing?? That the person that pulled the switch was a Jonas.

Investors - The other thing in my mind was the investors were still alive at that point and have shown in space before,
could Jonas made a deal with them and they came for payment hence the decoy body copy.. it almost worked for the
Sovereign

Well those are some of my ideas... just speculation

Ah. I just figured Jonas
Spoiler:
just under-estimated how messed up Venturion/Vendata/Morpho was, and he actually did it. Whether intentionally or a system spasm.

Though given the show, a comedy of errors accident seems most likely.

Spoiler:
Though you have a point on the body copy thing, especially since Gary is fixed on saying 'your father'

I actually thought you were referring to 'High Cost of Loathing' (episode 4), rather than the wrap up of the Morphic thing.

----
Odd aside- my favorite part thus far was Dr. Morpheus calmly stating 'A stroke.' Very nice call-back continuity.

That was... yeah.... sheesh.

On the mystery discussion:

Spoiler:
It was Phantom Spaceman!

Personally, I would not rule out Major Tom

I'm loving all the speculation!
I'm with LunarSol, it could be
Spoiler:
Major Tom. Another big Bowie reference would make the season for me.

You never know where they are going till we get there

Spoiler:

I am iffy on Major Tom.. time lines don't match up... but something trivial as time never
stopped them..

In the last episode (on adult swim streaming page) they show a red helper robot
that is way more advanced than what we normally see..
Two things.. he is part robot part organic.. says Potter is in New Zealand and calls
dean "Rusty" and mentioned about being a clone..
So he could be lying about all of this (organic part)
Potter could be dead, killed.. or off the help the real Jonas..
I just know they can work a better story than I have seen any of the new star wars.

So... was NOT expecting last night's episode.

i especially wasn't expecting Mark Hamil.

I am curious where the bout of competence came from... it makes me suspicious.

Shame about that post credit reveal. I knew something was up, particularly after DMtM showed up, but man was I excited to have Brisby back. Wonder what ever happened to the companda.

Yet another great episode! Mark Hamill was definitely the cherry on top.
Sucks there's only a few episodes left then it'll be another 2-3 year wait..

Molotov took her back to Bowie way back at the end of the original Brisby episode.
I suspect they thought about adding the panda to mansion scenes, but even Adult Swim probably balked at that. Even though Mr. Tiger.

It either went to the actual Bowie or to the Sovereign, but in either case, I'm curious where she is now.

Yeah, with every door that closes, three more doors open..

So they have signed on to an eighth season??

I hope the final episode wraps most things up.. but season six going to seven did not have a final episode.

Found an article from last year that said 8 was 'already a guarantee,' but there is a Forbes interview from this last July where Jackson Publick explicitly says they're "looking forward to doing more seasons, but nothing is official yet."

https://www.forbes.com/sites/robsalkowitz/2018/07/16/venture-bros-set-to-reward-fans-patience-with-rollicking-season-7-premier/#f37d7b37c80f

So... maybe? If they've done a deal, no announcement yet.

Still three more to go for this season.

Well, if the latter, probably dead when things exploded, unless there was another (panda-operated) escape capsule.

FWIW, the Morpho trilogy was clearly the Season 6 finale.

Yeah but it was the first three episodes of season seven... I loved it but had to wait a very long time to get them as part of six

Season Finale

I am okay with how this season ended... now to wait for the DVD to come out

Hmm. It and the previous episode seemed a little anti-climatic to me. Nothing new or unexpected, and they didn't really do anything with what was introduced this season (the Stranger/OSI agent, the Peril Partnership, the weird botany professor, the teleporter being a 'gamer changer'). They were there but didn't actually matter.

Season started off really strong, but kind of just ended with a checklist.

Felt much more like a season finale than the last one and even the one before in many ways. Now to see if we get something "between" on the level of AT&G2 or the Morpho Trilogy before the next season.

In terms of the episode itself, it was great to bring out the A material with Brock again. The main plot was more "the Guild council is a bunch of idiots with fratboy traditions" stuff that's never totally worked for me.

The pre-credits cliffhanger though was great. Not a big surprise, but pulling the trigger on that opens up some exciting new plot threads, particularly when coupled with the way future Rusty reacted to the Monarch last episode. Excited to see that always there thread finally play out.

I'll admit the post credit scene got me. Curious to see where they go with it or if it gets abandoned, but either way... nice.
