Just finished watching 4 seasons of Peaky Blinders, and I'm now watching Boardwalk Empire.

Love that time setting.

Boardwalk Empire tails off towards the end but it's one heck of a stylish ride

Finally got round to watching Devilman: Crybaby on Netflix last night. I only planned on watching one or two episodes, just to see what it was like and ended up watching the whole series.

I haven't watched or read any of the other Devilman anime/manga but I enjoyed it. It had a very similar feel to Parasyte in parts.

We have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video, and mainly my wife watches them more than I do. But I do watch quite a bit on my commute, so lately it has been:

Disenchanted: I enjoyed it later in the season, but the comedy was really low hanging fruit. I believe I saw someone call it lazy earlier, and I agree with that. All in all I enjoyed it but it wasn't anything to write home about.

Paradise PD: Crude humor, which is right up my alley, kind of like Family Guy turned up to 10 with less celebrity references and not as witty of writing and no continuity really to speak of. Enjoying it so far.

Also just finished Ken Burns WW2 documentary, The War. I enjoy the different take, since it follows the same people throughout and focuses on 4 main towns and how it impacted them. Also got to see plenty of footage and such that I haven't seen in the many WW2 documentaries that I have seen.

Oh, for those in the U.K. that like Horror, do check out Shudder. It’s one of Amazon’s Channels now and well worth checking out.

Here's a cracker for those with Netflix not in the UK or Canada.

Creeped Out. Kid's horror anthology series. Yes, it's a kids show. But it's not for the overly faint of heart. No gore, natch - but plenty of atmosphere and plot!

Lexx on Amazon Prime

It's totally sexist, inappropriate, borderline cringeworthy in many areas and yet darn it they got 1 hour long episodes, 3 seasons and whilst the visuals are dated there is clearly some powerful imaginary going on. It's like the early form of Farscape in many ways.

Honestly its one of those "this is so bad its come out good" kind of series.

We just finished season 2 of A Very Secret Service and it was fantastic. One of the best shows Netflix has done. Great dry, low key humor with French spoofing the French

Watching the Clone Wars for the first time. A continuation of trying to enjoy instead of dwell on my annoyance with recent SW.

Little over half way through season 2 and really enjoying it.

I just finished watching Zoolander 2 and I want my wasted time back. The first Zoolander was a classic that I can still watch and laugh at but all the jokes in the sequel are either unfunny, borderline offensive or rehashes of jokes from the first.

I really enjoyed The Terror. It's only 10 episodes and gets quite bleak towards the end.

It was also interesting then watching a documentary about the expedition and seeing how close the author of the novel that the show is based on got to the real events.

I am in the middle of the second season of Netflix's Ozark. I have to say that while I find some of it disturbing, I am actually interested in seeing what happens at the end. I started wavering in the first season when the plot started to bleed a little and they were introducing too many lame characters, but episode 5 of season 2 was awesome.

The show's premise is that Jason Bateman's character Marty launders money for a mexican drug cartel, who find out that people in his firm are stealing from them, so the everyone gets shot but him. He manages to work out a story that he has an idea to relocate to Missouri and launder the money there. Once there, he starts buying businesses and gets involved with random characters in this small town, meanwhile dealing with the cartel, FBI, and a local heroine dealer. Some pretty interesting twists and turns. Some of it has that Breaking Bad kinda feel, and the stellar negotiating skills of Marty and his wife gets a little old, but its got my interest. I am a Jason Bateman fan, and I thought this was going to be a comedy series, but it is not. Also, Julia Garner as Ruth Langmore is turning out to be a standout. I like following her character arch more than most of the others.

BTW, I hear the next True Detective series is taking place around the Ozarks too. I guess this area is becoming a new place to tell stories in. Which is great, as I am tired of Cali and NY.
