That would be my vote as well.
I'd like it to be broader than just grots and orruks, though. Make Destruction able to take proper well-functioning armies with synergies overlapping the individual subfactions, so we can field proper hordes of Gork and or Mork comprised of ogors, orruks, grots, trolls, gargants and whatnot together without being completely handicapped or have "armies within armies".

Greenskinz is just standard Orruks. You're looking for Greenskinz and Gitmob Grots.

Greenskinz? No. Gitmob? I would be surprised if they were still a faction at all this time next year. They are an extremely old model line with a bunch of non-plastic and are generic goblins. I expect GW to do a Grot battletome and put the gitmob shaman in it then drop everything else.

As I was writing, I would like for Destruction to have a collective Battletome that will enable a much higher degree of synergy across subfactions to actively encourage taking a very diverse and non-uniform looking horde of destruction.
Abilities,spells and artifacts targeting more generic keywords, more inclusive battalions etc, there are plenty of handle to make it work and make it interesting.
Short term, a dedicated Moonclan Tome (easily done, they’re nearly there).
Long term, a couple of destruction themed super Battletomes. I was talking about this elsewhere and it was something like this for Destruction:
Greenskin Hoardes (A LoN/BoC style book that contains all Greenskin, Gitmob and Troggoth units, plus Aleguzzler gargants)
Ogor Kingdoms (another LoC/BoC style book that contains Gutbusters, Maneaters, Firebellies and Aleguzzler Gargants)
Bonesplitta Tribes (still out on their own because they’re so crazy even for other destruction forces)
Beastclaw Raiders (still out on their own because they’re normadic and have deadly blizzards accompanying them)
Ironjawz (best of the best elites for greenskins)
Moonclan Grots
Spiderfang Grots
Grotbag Scuttlers
That’s 8 separate factions for destruction that covers everything so far.
Missed that one. I was just going through the Battletome lists on the GW site. And coming from a mostly-outsider, that should provide a clue as to how goofy the whole army setup is there.

If Death really needed to do another army, it would be more in reintroducing the Khemri. It would help them get back in to the greater variety that is missing from that Alliance. Right now Death is pretty much just vampires, ghouls, and midieval skellingtons.
Still, Destruction and the older Order armies need more presence than an army that GW has bascially squatted.
Ya, I’d enjoy seeing them mine their Bloodbowl undead actually (well, technically all the non-undead undead) with Werewolves, mummies, flesh golems, and all that early hammer monster stuff sans vampires. I would hope they take khemri as a base and heavily modify the theme such that its not as Egyptian. Personal preference; but Neferata and Nagash already do tons of pyramid stuff. Something new that coopts TK style would be sweet.
That said...destruction and cleaning up the loose army/models is paramount. Kept me away a long time when it would have enticed me sooner.
Of all the Grand Alliances, Destruction need the most love. With the exception of the Ironjawz, what few tomes they have are just repurposed old school fantasy factions. And even the Ironjawz are very underloved.

They need the Moonclan.
They really need to release some new models once in a while for older ones, Ironjawz are quite literally about six units.
For Chaos I'd say Skaven desparately need a unifying Battletome. They have many models and units and ways to play they need it bad, not just one Clan like Pestilens. (personally I would love a super ninja rat Eshin army!)
For Order something that encompasses the Free Peoples and Dwarves and random regular dude units would be good I think. Mere mortals still truckin' in the Mortal Realms.
For Destruction, hmmm, seems like the Goblins coming up and the existing orruks tomes do the job no? Though I would like all the Troggoths to get some love and puke on everybody!
For Death....bats? Apparently Tomb Kings are no more?
I would love to see them join the rest of the Aelves into a somewhat normal elf faction. As much as I love my DoK and find ID fascinating I would also just love a classic elf line to collect.
I'd also like to see Dispossessed be put into a whole range with updated rules. Personally I hate dwarves, but have a friend who would be ecstatic if this were to happen.

At the very least, I’m sure we’ll get a terrain piece and a few endless spells. What I’m hoping is included on top of that is new squigs and character models, to replace all the ancient metals that are still knocking around.

We must talk about all this. I’ve got big ideas for the Skaven, Disspossed and Free People’s.

The Tomb Kings still exist (there's a reference to them on one of the maps). So in theory they could show up again. But I suspect that they're pretty far down on GW's list of priorities.
