New guy here - these challenges seem like a fun way to get my models painted and push my painting skills, I'm in!

But it's huge compared to his companion from 25 years ago...

(This has given me the impetus to get the rest of my noise marines out of storage and finish painting them... )

For this month I'll enter with Space Marines Inceptor Squad - I'll go with classic blue ultramarines painting scheme

ChaosDad - that is a larger difference than I expected, even after recently comparing some of my old chaos metals!

Does the new NM include an original as well? I'm sure I read somewhere it did but it seems unlikely to me?

I'll probably enter part of my Fellowship of the Ring (The Hobbits). Pics are going to follow as soon as I get home to the models.

Some zombicide survivors for me this month - a welcome change from my almost exclusively gw painting pile. Not sure which ones yet, these are my options

I have not had chance to do a painting challenge for ages! So I will have to dive in to my bitz box and fix something up for this! Proofs to follow soon!

I'm thinking I might paint Luke and Han from Star Wars Legion, what do you guys reckon? Would that fit the theme? Would it be interesting, or a bit boring, being as I've done a SWL mini recently? I would have done Leia and Chewie too, but I haven't got either of them yet. You can't get Leia anywhere.

Definitely fits the theme to my mind.

I'm in this month! Excited to see all the hobbits and inquisimunda and rock gods and skarsniks!

I was going to do mini's for two characters in our new D&D campaign, Bandobras Burrows and Marian the Barbarian. The characters are bound by fellowship in-game and we're all bound by fellowship in real life as well, so it seems good for the theme.

My progress so far.... seems to good to be true tbh I might even be finished before the end of the month (1st time ever!) Gobbla is mostly done and Skarsnik has his base coats on.

Which do you guys think looks better, Gobbla on the left or right?

Gobba on the left. The spear in the center I think helps with drawing the eye down the the minis and focus on the middle.

Also doesn’t look like he’s about to chop his good buddy with a sword.

Mortar teams. Don't underestimate the bond between a cyborg and his robot!

Finished the three mortar teams.

Converted five of the six models as I was never happy with the default pose for the trooper with the round.

In the aerial view you can see the extra mortar shells ready to be grabbed, I always thought the kit was a little short of parts.







Now these are imgur images, the ones I uploaded to the gallery seemed to want to flip the top down views horizontally.

Also, a progress shot of my BSF Beastmen. Almost done with the first set of base coats. Metals next and then on to shading and patterningof the fur. Going for a rag tag motley assembly of scavenged clothing and kit. Everything that is orange Brown will be a rusty thing.

Nice work CB, the extra rounds and camo boxes are a nice addition to the base

Good progress so far Flinty, I like where you are going with all the orange/rusty bits.
