For sure, and at T6 vanilla Basilisks cant take a sneeze. The Armageddon is at least T7/W12 for your trouble

True. I'd use the Armageddon Bassie in a heartbeat if it wasn't 21 extra points (for 3). My list is up against the wall pointswise. Unless you think it's worth it to drop the Lascannons on the Sentinels to something like plasma cannons? That'd free up 30 points or so right there.

Unless you're running Cadian, Plasma Sents are a huge gamble. And TBH LasSents are that perfect blend of "cant afford to ignore but are really just distraction pieces" at 55 points.

They're down to 50, now, I think. After CA2018. And yeah, I wanted the lascannon sents to help kill tanks. So I guess Carnodons are all I have left to fluffily fill my Heavy Support slots, since I need a 3rd platoon/squadron of something in the company.
EDIT:
It helps me think of the Carnodons like Stryker MGSs in the current Stryker Company ORBAT.

You're right at the 50. The multilaser 5 point cost was throwing off my headmath.

Why don't you just take the Armageddon-pattern model and use the normal Basilisk rules? Fluff-wise you can just say that the enclosure is able to keep the hostile environment out but not thick enough armor to give it any stat modification against weapons.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

“Victory is not an abstract concept, it is the equation that sits at the heart of strategy. Victory is the will to expend lives and munitions in attack, overmatching the defenders’reserves of manpower and ordnance. As long as my Iron Warriors are willing to pay any price in pursuit of victory, we shall never be defeated.” - The Primarch Perturabo, Master of the Iron Warriors

3x Veteran Squads (meltas) in Chimera
2x Hellhound

'Emperor's Shield' Infantry Platoon
Command Squad on foot
5x Squads
2x HWS (MLs)
2x SWS (plasma)

"Remnants" Platoon
