The fuzzy primer, and colours, make me think of marshmallows. Should look good on proper models though. I like the skin colour.

It's a brave choice for the scheme, something I'd want to try but wouldn't have to balls for, nice work. Looking forward to seeing the rest.

Excommunicatus,
I now pretty well avoid dry brushing, except on tanks over the basecoat.
With each figure you will learn little tricks that will improve the model...and then a simple bath in Simple Green can clean off enough of the test model to let you match her with the rest of the unit.
My two cents,
CB

I like the test scheme. It's bold, but very fitting for Dark Eldar I think. Keep it up!
I know the feeling when you have painted for too long and just want to finish the model using unnecessary shortcuts. I struggle with this quite often. Taking a break usually helps.

Progress is slow, 'cause I've had to take a job working nights too, but there is progress.
Wych 1 WIP
Seems I'm not thinning my paints enough upon seeing these brutally honest pics, so I guess maybe Wych 1 will end up in a SImple Green bath, too.

Yeah, she does alright, eh?

Thanks, but one small correction; this is going to be a Kill-Team. Taking on another army on top of the three I'm currently working on would totally overwhelm me.

Right? Thanks.

In the context of this project, I agree. This is about trying to push myself and relying on the things I already do with the 'Voyna Narodnaya' business is counter-productive and renders this a little pointless.
I'm not going to change up how I do my Daemons and Renegades though, the point of that project is merely to 'complete' it, whatever that means in terms of an impulsive personality.

Thanks. Yep, aside from adding 48 hours to my work-week, part of the reason progress is slow is that I stopped painting at the first hint of impatience, or tired eyes.

You don’t seem to have a lot of confidence in your painting but I think you get some pretty great unusual results.
Your other stuff has a really nice dark, dystopian feel that’s perfect for your demonic/soviet theme.
Keep up the good work man, any progress on this? Really want to see how it turns out.

fancy bunch there.
Also i am still impressed about your courage to paint them pink, because that is one mean colour to get right.

I second the statement about pink and cream working well together.
Liking the conversions so far, keep it up champ!
Lythric Ulthurian is my favorite of the painted ones, the head fits her perfectly.

SO PINK!
Finished kabalites look a treat, nice vibrant armor / skin / hair against those creamy guns.

I'm a lot happier with how these look compared to how the test mini looked.
My ambition vastly outpaced my talent.
