I want to know how they did those bases tbh.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

The disgruntled Guild Ball tournament players have adopted Bushido so there's been a huge increase in interest so have a look around your local GB groups - you might have some locals already playing.

Maybe I need to push it at my FLGS again, we had a guildball group.

Also there’s an official Facebook group that has gotten even busier lately, you need to request to join, but they talked about the basing on there specifically. I think the stuff was from secret weapon miniatures but I could be wrong.

Definitely tempted by the Shiho stuff, I currently have all the Minimoto, all the Ninja, all the Shiho up to this releas, and a large amount of Temple models.

This game has been on my radar for a while. These guys are definitely the most what I've been looking for. Might have to jump in.

I've always wanted to play some sort of Samurai skirmish game, but I also would probably have to be a game host/ grow a community myself.

I've cultivated a group that's pretty good about trying whatever. If a game is interesting I'll make an army for myself and usually someone will get a force to play. I just don't really hit weekly practice for tournaments level or anything.

I realize that I'm going to have to try and grow the game myself in my area as well, but hopefully it will go well.

And I'll see if I can recruit any ex-Guild Ball players too!

Well you have this for a more fantasy inspired setting and Test of Honor for a more historical accurate setting.
Both are good skirmish games.

Don't forget RONIN by Osprey Games is a skirmish game as well. It has mythical rules to incorporate into the historical version as well. Just another option to use your mini's.

Finally bought into the game with the Shiho stuff. Anxiously awaiting my stuff. I've got a friend who's super excited about building terrain for the game to get playing.

Same here - minus the 'anxiously awaiting' (got mine last week!) and 'got a friend who's super excited about building terrain for the game to get playing' (I don't ) parts!

Really looking forward to the lore and campaign supplement too though.
