I don't think A Sanguinian heresy would have happened. if Sanguinus fell it would have been straight to Khorne and it would have been a bloody disorginzed rush, not planned carefully.

As for charisma being why Horus was made warmaster. really that was the MOST important trait. You needed to be a good politican at that level moreso then a good general. And Horus was a amazing politican, he was well liked. and his only feud occured after he was made warmaster (with corax)
I think Slaanesh has it's claws deeper into the soul of the Blood Angels than Khorne.

To avoid the temptations of Khorne they go down the path of artisanry and beauty. Perhaps his protection from chaos came from the fact Sanguinius's two sources of corruption were polar dipoles.

except Slaanish's corruption comes from excess, not art and beauty. the Blood Angels engage in art and beauty yes, but it's not as far as I can tell a matter of obsession with them.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I doubt Slaanesh has any claws in them really. BA like art and aesthetic things to prove they're more than just brute warriors but there's no trace of systematic excess or need for perfection there. They're closer to falling to Tzeentch than Slaanesh and that's pretty far off.

What about Brother Captain Tycho who got bested and hideously disfigured by a weirdboy eventually driven crazy as he tried to replace his mutilations with items of great artifice?

I thought it was just a mask?

I wouldn't call that Slaanesh level issues. That's a guy with trauma living in a society without therapy going insane from a combination of an existing disease and aforementioned trauma.
