I completed this model last Friday November 15, 2019 and put it up for sale on eBay auction the same day. This is the metal version of Vulkan He'Stan Forgefather of the Salamanders Space Marine Chapter.

I have had this model for years and was digging around some boxes and found him. It was his time to be painted. I painted him close to the way he is painted by GW with a few differences. More black on the cape and the spear tip like white hot metal. I felt the white hot spear tip seemed more appropriate for the Salamanders Forgefather. I pinned all of the parts but the backpack. It has a sizeable indention for the pack to fit anyway. Pinned him to the base. Clear coated him with Testors Dullcoat spray and hit all of the "Shiny" parts with a Vallejo Glosscoat brush on to make those parts shiny again.

Here is an 40K Ork. Mad Doc Grotsnik. It is the metal version of this model. I had him in parts and bare metal for a long time. He was part of an "Enemies of the Imperium" boxed set I picked up many years ago. I painted him up last week and placed him up for sale on eBay auction last Friday November, 22. 2019. I pinned all of his parts and pinned him to the base. Painted him rather worn and grubby looking.

Another model completed last week and put up for sale on eBay auction.

Warhammer 40K Orks Boss Snikrot. This is the metal version of this model. All parts are pinned and the model is pinned to the base. The model is clear coated with Testors dull coat spray. Painted him in darker colors since he is supposed to be a master of stealth attacks. Painted smears of black on his skin as he would do this to help camouflage himself for the dark. Painted red glowing eyes for his goggles.

Thanks, it took a bit to get those red lines on straight. I did try something different on this model. I used some Vallejo Metallizer to make the ball ornaments have that slight metallic sheen like a glass Christmas ornament. Mixed a small bit of metallizer with some regular miniature paint and there we go and red and green metallic color.

Another model I completed last week and put up for sale on eBay. This one went fast with a Buy-it-now a couple days on. This is the newer plastic Chaos Space Marines Sorcerer. I primed this one by hand instead of by spray. I had to paint it in pieces and assemble it as parts were completed. Not my usual way of doing things but with how GW is getting all fancy with their models this will be how it will be done (sigh).

I did like how it was a call back to the older metal CSM Sorcerers. Especially, the back pack. I liked the floating Chaos sigil in his right had but that thing is super delicate with just a tiny piece of plastic hold it there. It is hard to see but the cowl on the head of the Sorcerer looks organic almost like a webbed/ clawed hand covering the top of his head and what looks a bit like intestine as a hose coming from the side of his head to the inside of the armor. I painted all of that in detail but it is barely visible unless you really get in there to look. I gave it a unique base where it looks like he is on rock and every step he cracks the rock and chaos energy is flowing from his feet into the cracks in the rock.
Painted him mostly in Black Legion colors. I will say I was a little disappointed in the left arm shoulder pad. I had hoped that they would have sculpted a chaos symbol on it but it is blank. I guess so you can put whatever symbol you want. It would have been a nice option though.

Hello all,

Here is the latest work. A Salamanders Space Marines Adrax Agatone Captain of Nocturne.

Painted it similar to the way GW has it but made a few minor changes here and there. Painting the lava on the base was interesting. Used several washes on both sides of the cape to get the colors blended right and a bit of nuln oil on the very tip of the flames to darken it.

I clear coated the model using Testors dull coat spray and Vallejo brush on gloss for shiny spots.

Space Marines Raven Guard Chapter Master Kayvaan Shrike.

A much better model than the old metal original. More details and a much better pose. I pinned him to the base and added a little extra debris to the base. This model was quite fiddly at times with the grav-chute wings but not a bad model to work on.

Here is one of my latest works. A Star Wars Legion Operative Expansion : Boba Fett model.

I made a unique base for him. I am not a fan of the clear plastic flight stands so I made this base to look like he is either taking off or coming in for a landing while shooting.

I looked at a lot of movie and replica photos of Boba Fett and his equipment. I tried to get it as close as possible, painting tiny details that you can barely see in the photos but holding it close they are there.

It is a two for day. I am posting a Warhammer 40K Chaos Space Marines Master of Execution I completed last week and put up for sale on eBay Auction last Friday January 3, 2020.

This was an interesting model to work on. Lots of Evil looking Chaos-ness on him. I painted him to look like he is wearing the skins of his victims and using the entrails for his hoses for his armor and back pack. Used some Vallejo blood to put dripped blood on the ground and his robes.
I liked how he came out in the end.

Here is another of my latest works. A female Astra Militarum Primaris Psyker model. I prefer calling them Imperial Guard Psykers but I am old school anyway. This is an interesting model. It is not one that GW has on their site but is a "Warhammer" product.
It comes from an Official Warhammer introductory type game called "Combat Arena" This game includes 5 very detailed models and they are all snap together. You can glue them but it is not really necessary. I did glue this model. All five models come on one sprue.

This was a fun one to work on and I tried a few different things on it than I normally do. I do currently have it on eBay auction if you are interested in it.

Yet another latest work. Completed last week and placed up for sale on eBay auction Friday January 3, 2020. A metal Eldar Warlock painted in Alaitoc Craftworld colors. This is an older sculpt but still a good one. A single piece model which I enjoy working on. Less fiddliness than the newer puzzle piece models been seeing a lot lately. Not painted a lot of blues and yellows but I wanted to do something different than the typical black and reds I have been doing on Eldar.

Just completed this model yesterday and placed it up for sale on eBay auction tonight Friday January 10, 2020. A Dark Angels Primaris Space Marines Captain in Phobos Armor.

An interesting puzzle piece model. Found it unusual for there to be a split in the cape at a fold and the helmet cut in two parts but I guess they are all that way now. Painted him with the light source being over his right shoulder so the highlights show up from one direction. Changed out the Primaris head for a Dark Angels hooded head. I know some people wonder why but he is Dark Angel and Dark Angels like their hoodies.

Here is a model I completed a couple weeks ago. A Dark Angels Primaris Space Marine Librarian in Phobos Armor. A puzzle piece model where I painted parts here and there before assembly. (fun )

Painted the camo cloak like typical Dark Angels robes since he had not yet activated the camo cloak while he was "Thinking hard" about his next move. I really wished they had given this model more options. Would have been nice to have a couple of arm and head options to make it a bit different.

I liked painted this model to the "regular" Primaris Librarian model.

I put this model up for sale on eBay back on January 3, 2020. It sold on a Buy-It-Now in just one hour and ten minutes. Which was a pleasant surprise.

Here is another model I completed last week and placed up for sale on eBay auction last Friday January 10, 2020.

It is a model from the Warhammer "Combat Arena" boxed game. This game is only available at Barnes and Noble as far I know at this time. The game comes with 5 highly details snap together miniatures, including this one.
In the game she is "Neyam Shai Murad - Imperial Rogue Trader." I liked this model immensely. She has lots of character from the metal peg leg to the brass armor with the two quills at the top to the two servos skulls helping her in combat. Note that one servo skull is actually reloading her revolver with bullets. I am pretty sure there are no rules for using her in a 40K game but I think she would make an excellent Inquisitor model with her looks. I put her on a base of deck plating like she is in combat on a ship.

Here is my latest work. I just completed him today Friday January 17, 2020. Primaris Space Marines Blood Angels Mephiston - Lord of Death.

Another puzzle piece type marine model. This one was a little better than some of the others have been but he was still a lot of work. Not sure about the instruction manual though. The head would not fit with the torso already assembled like in the instructions showed but I got it figured out, after the fact.
Also, not a fan of that loose hose under the sword arm that has to be put on after one part but before another. This is a pain when the model has to be painted in parts. Went with the plasma pistol arm instead of the "what is that smell on my finger" arm. Guess he was supposed to be licking his finger with that part. I just don't know. At least this model has a one piece cloak unlike some of the others lately.

Painted a few thing different from the box cover. Went with blue glowing hoses instead of yellow. Painted gold trim on the hemline of robes and cloak. Trying to paint those blood drops was just way to fiddly and time consuming for me. I do have a schedule when working on these things.

Used metallic gold on the armor and sword. I usually paint up the force or power swords with the electricity going all the way but how they had it on the box cover was interesting. So, I gave it a go. Not too bad, I think. His face turned out much better than I had hoped. Lots of details on the model there. The fangs and teeth with the tongue. Tiny but makes a difference.

Lots of intricate details on this guy with all of his servo arms and that huge axe. Painted him up in parts, starting with the legs and torso. Then getting about half of each other part painted then attaching them to him and finishing the details of each part. Putting the head in last, which was painted separately. He was less of a puzzle piece model than some of the other recent Primaris marines I have worked on.
