I always figured if I wanted bikini bods I'd just cannibalize the AoS witch elf kit.

I'm glad we have plastic banshees now for the more armored lady aspect warrior bods.

Heads I agree with. There aren't a lot of great option. More lady heads sporting the eldar "psychic hood" gorget would be sick af. Ala the farseer from Dawn of War 2.

If the end product is something sweet I'll probably pitch in for heads. Bods might be a skip from me though. Depending on what they look like.

The heads I've had created are all Dark eldar heads(though they can be used for Eldar heads just fine i suspect). For the Eldar heads I'll definitely be doing the jaw/neck armor on a few becuase they are way more armored.

I assume the heads will get used on both models, just the DE heads hair styles don't necessarily fit onto eldar Guardian/avenger bodies with their much Larger Backpacks

Cool! Voting yes on collar. Not worried about stuff being flush, i can always pull out my hobby knife.
Interested to see what bodies you come up with.

Well I had her add a collar to the last head. Its not all the way down ..but it should provide a nice break on the neck if you need it. That completes the DE head grouping.

Would you as a consumer consider 10$ too high for 6 Deldar heads?

Let me know!!!

As a reference point
Puppets war charges $4.50 for 5 heads.
Forgeworld charges $21 for 10 heads

If I were you I'd sell them in a batch that, ideally, fits with the models they go with. So if the general dark elf box is 10 to a pack I'd sell them in 5 or 10 to a pack. That way people are more likely to feel like the value is worth it because there's no "waste". Of course it also depends how many different shapes and sorts of head you have in total.

Also consider postage too since that's going to be part of the cost.

I Cant mass produce like puppetwars but I'm not gonna gouge like FW. I'm trying to find a balance that people like.

The heads are so small that postage...SHOULD be cheap.....I hope....

Don't mind paying $10 myself.

Yep you've got to consider your bottomline and how much its going to cost you to produce and such. I figure puppets and FW gives you a nice idea of the upper and lower limits of the market in general.

I think 10$ is more than reasonable for six heads. I could see that getting pricey if you wanted to replace the heads in your entire army, but for some new sculpts to mix things up on special units, absolutely. More importantly, there is a very disappointing lack of proxy/alternative options for Aeldari, so I'd be happy to pay a premium for something like unique heads that's in short supply.

$10 for six seems reasonable. My interest would be for fantasy, however; so as long as there isn't any obvious hi-tech stuff like cyber-eyes, I'd consider the purchase. The first few samples are fine for my purposes.

I'm interested too.
Posessing a printer myself, would you consider resale the files ?

Well.work continues apace and my sculptor has sent me the first Eldar torso idea she has come up with

Its...unique. And with 0 guidance on my part a talented start. However it makes me realize I'm gonna have to provide some direction both for my self and for her. So I'm having the 2 torsos broke down into "Sexy Armor" and "Practical armor" (though still sexy)

I'm having her replace the stars with soul stones and matching the shoulders with Dire Avenger shoulders. I was gonna not have the boob window and midriff exposed but then Im like..ehhh...lets lean into it. A painter can always paint it to look like skin tight rubber or cloth or something. I'm not sure about the neck. Its a WIP

Tell me infinity circuit. How would you like to see the 2 female torso made up?

Nice work and I agree with many of the suggested changes. It sounds like your sculptor could do with some image references and perhaps some basic lore breakdown to help out the creative work.
Things like how armour is moulded and formed - there's even a fair amount of "Organics" in there that doesn't tend to get shown (I think the only time we've ever really seen it done well is the Dawn of War 3 video intro/trailer with the howling banshees). It's something that GW could have shown with resins, but early plastics would never have shown that level of detail - perhaps possible now if they chose to go that path but it seems they've not - again its likely that only resin could really achieve that fine detail level (though Hawk Wargames plastic is pretty fine detail).

As for a "practical" approach I'd say it should be a form-fitting design that covers all and yet also offers protection. From what I've observed a Guardian wouldn't have many soul stones (you tend to see those on the machines and leaders). So perhaps even only a few or one prominent stone which could even sit over the heart region (which is not direct in the middle of the chest, but offset*).

*At least in humans, I've no idea on if there's lore as to if eldar have hearts and if so where the heart (or hearts) might be located).

This would be my preference as well

Stupid question, but you're buying these designs with the legal right to sell them for profit right? Just, might be worthwhile checking.

I haven't looked at much 3D printing stuff, but I've looked at too much as well if you know what I mean, but from projects in other media, where I've licensed things (fonts) and the like, it's a very important to make sure you're either buying the design outright or a licence to use it for commercial work.

(Like I said, probably a stupid thing you've already checked, but maybe others haven't and didn't think to)

Take a look at what I've been painting and modelling: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/725222.page

No..not a stupid question. My 3d artist is making these just for me as the commissioner. Once that exchange is good i have free reign to do what I want with them. She makes her money..I'm free to "try" to make my money with them. (Which is ultimately just me trying to recoup my investment cost..which is ..high)

Thanks for asking though!

The shoulder pads are a bit much, and a bit "warmachine" in style, but the idea of great looking torso bits for conversions is a good one.

I'd personally really enjoy some wych-type armor for the dark eldar designs.
Smaller amounts of armor, tight skinsuits, and asymmetrical armor coverage (exposed shoulders). Sort of a gladiatorial design.
Just a suggestion! No big if not possible though, heads alone will make me happy.

Still in reserve.

I was just checking into this thread myself to see if there was an update! I've just assembled some Wyches today and left the heads off on the chance either prints or STLs of these heads are available.
