...that sounds like “yes” with extra steps. So I refuse to answer without my lawyer present.

Not counting planes or the planet moving through space (that is cheating anyway because then we can also include the solar system moving around the galactic core, or the milk way hurtling toward Andromeda) the fastest I have gone is about 160km/h on the autobahn with my driving instructor. They make you drive really fast here on the section without speed limits to see if you can do it.

I prefer not to go above 130 even when I have the option though.

Discounting commercial air travel (IMO, unless youre the pilot, it doesnt count)

I had one car governed at 133 mph, one car governed at 133.5 mph, and one car aerodynamically limited to 105.

On my Specialized road bike I have hit 65mph wearing nothing but spandex and me brass balls

My mountain bikes never had a speedo, but I've gone at speeds that certainly felt fething fast.

Well, personally, I feel like my maximum speeds in vehicles I was driving are, relatively speaking, nill next to the speed at which our planet is hurtling through the cosmos.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Ever: commercial airliner - however fast they go.

Ground, with power: 101mph. In my mums 1.2 Clio, down hill on the M1. It was a few months after passing my test and I wanted to go over 100 to say I had (I was young and stupid). It was both the most boring and frightening experience at the same time. Put me off going fast in cars on the road. There was nothing exciting about it, just the feeling that something could go wrong and if it did it would go very very badly wrong very very quickly. Not to say I didn’t do anything stupid again in a car (I can drift a car, which should give you an idea of how stupid), but since then absolute speed has held no interest.

Self powered: 42mph (gps average reading over three miles), coming out of Chipping Norton, with a good tail wind, on my road bike. 50mph limit, double white lines yet still cars felt the need to pass me.

I'd pass you too if you were going 8+ under the speed limit.

Commercial airline would be the most speed I've ever tried.

Ground speed? I have whipped a Peugeot 206 to about 180 km/h, but that was when I was young and foolish. Not something I'd like to do today, especially seeing how the road network has degraded. Hit the slightest bump and you go flying into the forest, hit a somewhat deeper pit and kill a front tire for disastrous effect. I'm not getting paid enough to speed at work and can't see any reason to do so off work.

I guess I'm getting old, or finally getting wise.

Fastest I have been in a land based vehicle was right around 185 mph in a mid 2000's Corvette that was turbo-charged. Guy wanted to see how fast you had to go before the lines in the middle of the road started to look solid and I was just along for the ride.

Fastest I have gone while in control of a car was bouncing off the governed top speed of 154/155 mph in my Challenger.

I think when I was much younger the fastest I hit on a bike was riding down a hill next to traffic doing 35-40 and matching speed on my BMX. Probably not the smartest thing to do on a cheap Huffy but it was fun at the time lol

Reguarlly hit the 40mph + zone while riding my road bike on a downhill! Thats normal for a cyclist on a sprint downhill

In a car? No more than maybe 140 mph

Been on planes - unsure of their speed

I clocked myself (according to Garmin/Strava and I believe it) at 83kph (a smidge over 51mph) on my road bike on a well known local descent. I can tell you confidently that is fast enough.

Back in '96 I was running late to get to my Armory where we were leaving to do security at the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. Anyone understanding the kind of screwed I'd be for showing up late or missing the bus would understand my choice. My ex was passed out drunk in some dude's house with her '92 or '94 Camaro Z28 custom with a 6 speed and the Vortec LT-1 Corvette package engine parked at the local bar. Well, her mom picked me up and helped me get the car with her spare key, and I had to punch it to get to drill on time. Fastest at that trip was roughly 166, and I was terrified the entire time. Like gak myself terrified.
