The LVO event absolutely has me contemplating a return next year.
The delay was excruciating.....and I just didn't care in Round 3 at all, should have just withdrawn with a zero and had an evening elsewhere to be honest.
There was also an issue in Round 2. An announcement went out indicating 20 mins left to play. We were on turn 3 and about to start Turn 4. We played out our turns each and I indicated that it would be unfair for me to take my next turn if he didn't get a chance to do the same (I was losing and nothing would change the outcome, but each of us could have increased our points by playing longer). So we calculated our score and went up to the table (couldn't enter in app obviously). That round must have gone on for at least another hour...easily. We both met up at our table and said "wtf?". We could have easily have played the last 2 rounds. Don't know why taht happened but it also irritated me.
Needless to say my Day One experience was very poor. Luckily my opponents were great so at least there were no issues there. Day 2 was a lot better.
next year I will have an absolute zero-tolerance policy for the event if I go back. If they stick with BCP and the app crashes, I'm heading out and going to the pub. No way I'm I sitting around the hall for 2 1/2 hrs. Every other aspect of the event is so well organized, it's a shame that BCP continues to tarnish it.
