I heard Word Bearers will be getting a useful trait!

64 - The Chaos Codex will be a word for word reprint of the 3.5 Codex. Despite 20 years of rule changes it will still be the most competitive codex in the game and beloved by all Chaos players.

Tbh it'd just need some points fixes and a decent errata.

Always 1 on the crazed roll.

That already happened, once.

Instead: Gw announces squatting all csm models except chaos spawn and daemon princes. Says that's the inevitable end to 10,000 years of chaos worship, they're just saving the trouble of rolling on the boon table.

A, GW realise the low-hanging fruit, and release a plastic Shining Spears box/sprue based off the new Jetbikes - 3 to a kit, with an Exarch option, only £10 more than the Windriders box (or £15 if a Phoenix Lord option is added). The downside is this is Eldar's only release for the edition.

ii, The models/options already added to Legends gets a points/keywords review for 9th. Options which should be in there but aren't (as they weren't in the Index) get added, so we see the return of Lord Solar Macharius, Chaplain Xavier, OG Doomrider, et al.

3, New plastic IG infantry (non-Cadian), at a price that doesn't break the bank.

I heard from my local GW manager's dog that Space Marine Doctrines are being reworked to be more fair.

The first founding Chapters now get a different Super Doctrine for each of the Devastator, Tactical and Assault doctrines.

In addition, if your army is entirely Primaris, you get and extra special super doctrine.

Reanimation Protocals has been deleted. It has instead been replaced by Phase Out, which allows you to spend Reinforcement Points to put a destroyed unit into Reserves. The unit then arrives in two turns time, deploying anywhere on the table beyond 9" of enemy models.

I didn't say Deep Strike before because referencing Universal Special Rules gives your opponent and extra 5cps to spend on strata... ah bollocks; I referenced the name. Now my opponent has enough cps (25) to use the "Exterminatus" stratagem to automatically cause me to lose the game, at the cost of throwing all of our models in the trash.

Someone told me that GW will keep the 8 page download rules without anything special to keep the entry level as simple as possible

the new terrain rules are in the core book, which is exclusive to the starter kit for now (stand alone release with the new CA book)

New point cost and rules changes will be in the next CA, as well as more Universal Special Rules (like Deep Strike)

Rules for the Crusader narritive campaign are coming with the new Codex books (wich means exclusive to Marines, Sister und Necrons for now)

There will be a new Cadia Box with a mix of male and female Guard models (5+5)

If you buy a printed 9th Edi Codex, you get access to those units Datasheet in the 40K App, old units need to be purchased or you can buy a subscription for each army
full digital rules are still Apple exclusive

All Necron non-Infantry models get the new TANK Keyword

Melee will finally be as powerful as shooting.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

After all the complaints about the rules bloat, the rules will swing the other way. Now once forces have set up players roll a D6 (Imperial forces get a +3 modifier). Who ever gets the highest result wins the game... command points can be used for re-rolls. This is what makes force selection important.

The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

After complains of bloat. GW will cease releasing any kind of expansions.

Codexes will be replaced, but only with new covers, the content will remain the same. All other books will be declared Excommunicatus, their use punishable by an old fashioned kneecapping.

There will be complaints.

Orks, Blood Angels and Grey Knights will be crazy overpowered. The heads of certain prolific Dakka posters explode.

"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. Of course you are referring to De'Nial, the new Ultramarines character who is a Primaris clone-sister-daughter of Guilliman, created from a combination of Guillimans virile geneseed and the DNA of an Eldar farseer in a process called the Consummationem.

GW definitely won't forget that the Drukhari codex is split between three subfactions ... and Drukhari players absolutely, positively, categorically won't have to pay CP in order to field more than one subfaction....cos that would be silly.

1) 1st turn assaults will not be possible.
2) Alternating unit activation is a core mechanic.
3) Troop transports will be critical springboards for melee.
4) D10 will be the new core dice.
5) Grey Knights are properly represented in the rules like their fluff.
6) Templates are a new element to explosive weapons.
7) Universal core abilities are itemized in the new rules to be used by all races.
8) An online points list is maintained for reference or download for database import.
9) The free rules shall be searchable and are grouped by like-topic with metadata tags.
10) A game CP counter and deck holder will be on sale for a low $75.
11) "Old-Marines" shall have comparable points cost to capability as Primaris.
12) The new models shall be released before they are in Thingiverse.
13) For added detail, the models are printed in the GW special patented super special polymer and can only be attached by the GW cement at $50 per 1/4 oz.
14) Our new models are super poseable and can be configured in a variety of states of readiness: the head can be tipped to any angle between 80 to 110 degrees.
15) Gw is retiring the 25mm base and moving to the 27.5 mm one. A new upgrade kit with a variety of combat environments are available in packs of 7 for $15.
16) For those who really want a physical copy of the rules we have our coffee table edition with 8 pages of rules and 100 pages of inspiring adver... <ahem> "artwork" for $150.
17) <4 months later> A new portable "Reader's Digest" sized copy of the rules is available, hardbound for $75 with little or no difference to the leaflet downloadable rules.
18) NEW*** The Crayola... <ahem> GW non-refillable paint pens of 3 different styles of tips are available in your favorite colours to paint those details after you dipped or finger-painted on your high contrast paints.

This is not going to end and I am having decades of flashbacks writing this.
