Thanks guys! makes the 40 hours worth it ;D

Next up is Roboute Guilliman, got him assembled and de-seamed, used a bit of homebrew green stuff to make a better transition from the base to the model.

Working through his gold work is an epic task!! He is coming together now though, looking forward to doing the flaming sword, saving that till last

The ruins of the Palace of Thorns

All of the little details on the apothecary are amazing, and Abaddon's face is fantastic. It is (almost) a shame you had to paint the rest of him and not just leave the face on a plain model to stand on its own merits.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Purging on ctf_2fort

Oh my God, Abaddon is seething with the power of Chaos! Absolutely incredible painting. Guilliman is looking flash, too - Keep up the amazing work!

Beautiful work, I love that. What do you plan on painting next?

Wow. You did a great job with that. I especially like the flame work.

Well, shoot. He looks sweet anyway. Looking forward to Bile.

Thanks for the comments!
I tried to get a multi layered look to Bile's skin coat, perhaps should have been a bit lighter. I had a go at speed painting the Acolyte, 4 hours from spru to finished, not award winning but definitely the fastest thing I've painted so far.

Finished up Biles upper bits and am going to leave him as he is, now have to wait for the Horticulus Slimux to arrive ... perhaps do some of the chores I've been neglecting

Beautiful work on Bile's vials. The nasty gnawgahyde look for the coat is working great, too.

Great work, especially on all the syringes and I can't believe that his little worker took you only 4 hours

Cheers guys!

Loved painting this beast, lots of blending and also had a go with an airbrush for the first time, just for the base colours though. Tried the bicarb superglue trick for the base and think it worked out ok.

That's amazing. Great color. Love the glow in the shell. The snail's eyes are a great touch.

Grisly Ghost Ark Driver

Never noticed the Zulfiqar on the rider before. Never enough Zulfiqars in fantasy!

(For reference, Zulfiqar refers to the sword of 'Ali, the nephew of Muhammad, dhu al-faqaar, which is usually depicted as having two blades coming from the hilt)

Thanks youwashock!
According to the box his weapon is a pair of loppers, though they are a terrible design for a serious horticulturalist

Next up is the Tech Priest Manipulus as a practise run for Belisarius Cawl, done most of the block colouring and some detailing. Love the airbrush now for the early stages, saves loads of time.

Tech priest: exploded view.

Looks good already!

Ha! Great idea to do a 'test' on such an intricate model before tackling Cawl.

Will be interested to see what you end up doing with him - both my tech priests and Cawl are awaiting primer, so something suitably inspiring, please!

Baron, don't forget to talk about the SEALs and Marines you habitually beat up on 2 and 3 at a time, as you PM'd me about.

Slimux looks superb, all the AoS Nurgle models just look so fun and the vibrant colors really help. Love the snails eyes looking up to that delicious Nurgling
Excited to see what you do with the Manipulus. Really don't like the sculpt, but your painting is off to a good start.

Thanks for the comments!

IGtR= - I'm not sure its going to be inspiring I'm just copying the box art

Viterbi - I agree to some extent the model is extremely busy but I love the fact he has a 38 thousand year old 3.5" floppy disk on his belt

The model is coming together nicely just a few more bits to tidy up and then get him based, I've order some of the Martian Ironearth technical paint to try out.

That skin color turned out great, as did all the widgets, wires and doo-dads he's covered in. Love the still on his back. Mars brand moonshine.

Cheers, I was going for the he physically died years ago and is being kept alive by his suit skin tone

While waiting on some new models I found this guy in an ebay bag of bits, stripped him down and gave him a fresh coat.

Nice work on a classic. Winning color combo. The eye lenses look quite good, while also not looking quite like lenses, but actual eyes. Gives the face a lot more personality than you normally see.

Cheers, the eye effect was completely by accident, I almost re-did them but grew to like them

Blast from the past! Marvelous work on the eyes good thing you left them as they were!
And you're right, the floppy disc on the Tech-Priest is a great touch, had never seen it before.

Cheers Viterbi!

The martian ironearth finally arrived so got the base done, not sure if i should add a highlight as it seems a bit dull.

Also been working on 5 Necron Immortals for the monthly challenge and barely started an Illuminor Szeras
