It's a heavy warjack's axe, the Destroyer, to be exact.

Boomhowler's new title is Boomhowler the Destroyer.

So he's picked up a heavy warjack's axe and it's so unwieldy it appears
he's holding on to the spike at the bottom to try and get some leverage
on the thing.

My only problem with Riot Quest is they then take all the silly models and also give them full rules and legality for the main Warmachine game, so Warmachine is just full of silly junk too.

With the shipping costs and savings all wrapped up the mat seems like a good deal. Can't stand paper mats to play on. Would've preferred an actual fold up board but I can understand the paper one.

Since Riot Quest takes place in an alternate future after the Infernals won and has a decidedly different aesthetic, I would think more Warmachine players were against using RQ in WMH than for it. Like, you can't put RQ Feora next to WMH Feora...

To nitpick, its off a Destroyer (hence the name). It does kind of bother me that it took like... 15 years to get Boomhowler2 and now we're getting 3 within a year. Feels like there's other trolls that could have gone that way.

I do think Riot Quest and really the whole Infernal Apocalypse has been really good for the setting. Wild character designs have always been a huge appeal of the game, but it had gotten kind of stuck in its aesthetics. The end of the world has really given them a chance to make things crazy again.

Warcaster packaging and artwork featuring the new vehicles.

We received our shipment of our new Mini Box packaging last week and I just got some samples in hand. This was the first stretch goal of the Kickstarter campaign — a generic box that would replace the plastic blisters that our miniatures are normally packaged in, thus reducing literally thousands of one-use plastic clamshells per month. We'll be moving to this packaging style for our other product lines in the future with the ultimate goal of eliminating one-use plastic waste from our packaging, and making all packaging recyclable and biodegradable.

We're less than two weeks away from the annual Privateer Press keynote live stream scheduled for Tuesday, July 7th, at 10 am PST, on twitch.tv/privateerpress. We'll have a major announcement and previews for the future of Warcaster: Neo-Mechanika as part of the presentation, including more information on the Marcher Worlds Razorbat and the Iron Star Alliance Interceptor featured in the image below!

I'm really interested to see the packaging in person. As goofy as it sounds, that is one of those things that drives me nuts about games.

Also: hoverbikes for Iron Star Alliance, adorable lil' hovertanks for Marcher Worlds, and what will Aeternus Continuum get? A hoverbus?

One use plastics? I use those clamshells for all sorts of thing, like storing tokens, dice, or resin treasure chests. I also use the foam backing for packaging material to protect miniatures during transport. Every part of the buffalo.

Same here, it's just there comes a time where I feel like a hoarder!

I do think it cool that they are at least attempting a shift. Can't wait to see my Marcher Worlds stuff in either case.

Summer Rampage 2020 rules are now available. This narrative event will shape events within the next round of Hengehold Scrolls.
We are going to be accepting event reports on this for a while (we'll let you know when time is running out), as we know that not everyone can participate at the moment.
Please play responsibly, and don't feel any rush for a deadline. We'll make sure this goes as long as it needs to so folks can enjoy it safely.

Apparently this is a report your games to affect the fluff kind
of deal. I'm guessing the intention shifted from Lock and Load
deciding things to this local event version. Not sure if we'll be
able to get this in, though some local players might try to play
it out on wartable.

I honestly though Privateer Press had gone out of business a couple of years ago. Is Warmachine/Hordes still a thing or do they only make spinoff games?

Kickstarter launch date for Riot Quest 2 is July 7, same day as their
keynote talk. If it's like previous kickstarters, it will be shorter than a
month and deliver mostly on time.

Both characters we've seen so far already have models in Riot Quest. Curious as to why. Might be something we find out about in a week.

I'm wondering if this is an example of versions of Riot Quest not translating into warmachine.

They've said that that might/would happen eventually.
