- Updates for Cadians, and new plastic models for alternative regiments.
- New Tyranid sculpts.
- Some melee-capable troop units for the Sisters of Battle.
- Updates for non-Codex SM chapters. Bjorn looks so tiny these days... and I'd love to get some of the bespoke Dark Angels units, but they are also small and beginning to look dated.

2k poorly optimized Necrons.
1k poorly assembled Sisters.

The dark behind the eyes.

- DE HQs wihth wings/jetbikes/skyboards. Preferably also with wargear options that aren't a complete snorefest.
- A Mandrake HQ (preferably not a special character)
- Really anything for DE that isn't just another resculpt that's drastically worse than the model(s) it's replacing.

Eldar of all varieties needs more plastic, and Tau could use some auxiliaries.

Of course we could use some world eaters and emperor’s children as well.

A plastic Deffkopta kit with weapon options is a good shout - we've only been waiting on one since, what, 4th edition?

Assault on Black Reach koptas are 5th edition IIRC. Only plastic koptas ever released, out of production since ages. Now only the ancient metal model, it needs to go.

 Dysartes wrote:

And what's wrong with our current Mad Dok Grotsnik? Seems a perfectly pleasant fellow on here, helps defeat scalpers, etc...

It's finecast, and 3rd edition. I like the model, and I have the metal one (since 3rd edition times) but I'd like an updated Mad Dok.

Hmm, for my armies? Epidemius in Plastic. I think he's also the last remaining Daemon model that is Failcast (If you count furies as having their replacement in warcry), so it's not improbable they could make him.

Also Lord and/or Sorcerer on palanquin. I mean I have no problem using the legends rules for my conversion, but to future proof it it would be nice if GW did an official model. Also I think it would look great.

Aside from these? All the people are right with DE and the remaining ancient Eldar, even if I don't play these. They deserve it. If they got half the number of HQ models that GW made Primaris Lieutenants everybody would be happy already.

Eldar update - plastic aspects, rangers, maybe with something new and fun. I really want to start an Eldar kill team / army but it's just no good.

Tau - It would be nice to see the auxiliaries get a bone thrown their way. But, if I'm being honest, my passion is definitely not with Kroots and the like. I really want something, anything with a Railgun-type weapon because those are the coolest - maybe like a higher toughness Ghostkeel-sized suit or a shock-troops version of the stealths.

I'm betting we'll see a Sisters of Battle Flyer, maybe even a lighter vehicle.

I'm hoping for more expanded MK X Aggressor units. Something akin to terminators and devastators. A multi-Part Captain that you can actually pose yourself with more than three options would be nice too.

I'd like to see some primaris chapter specific units, like some sort of breacher unit for Imperial Fists, some sort of Pyro Unit for Salamanders, Sneaky unit for Raven Guard, Etc.

I would love to see a box set with a fully primarized Squad Grimaldus.

Plastic redo of Catachans/Steel Legion would get me to start that guard army I've always wanted.

A lot of friends like the Eldar and DE so I think those armies need some love.

Tyranids really needs love, not just new models though. They need a redesign from the ground up. Better rules, etc. I feel like some of the Tyranid models should be as deadly and tough to kill as Custodian Wardens.

In terms of new stuff, hoping very much for the return of Squats and for the Return of the Old Ones.

EDIT: NOTE - DE has not gotten a new UNIT datasheet in 10yrs, every army has other than DE. Yes DE has gotten a few new re sculpts, but no new units.

Harlequins

- 1 cast no Aura Shadowseer on Bike
- TM on bike
- Flyer
- Great Harlequin model
- Mimes (basically cheaper weaker troupes)

Hey hey hey now, you JUST got a great harlequin model, you can't ask for more. One harlequin release per edition is already more than we deserve.
oh, whats that? hes Imperium only? Oh well, still counts as a harlie release so shhh

im joking obviously, i'd love to get mobility options on non craftworlds and new units too.

You joke, but its a huge slap to the face of Harlequin players. No one cares its an imperial unit, we care that they made a harlequins for imperial before harlequins even got anything extra.

40k models have aged better than WHFB models did. One of the reasons WHFB died in the end was that core models started to show their age compared to new releases, which hurt the overall appearance of the army a lot and made starting new armies undesirable (lack of start collecting boxes and increasing unit sizes also contributed). From that point of view 40k is doing much better. Core troops are mostly fine, although some could use a facelift to match modern design standards and sprue effectiveness.

Wishlist:
Astra Militarum Infantry Squad. Sprue of 10 with one of each special weapon, box of 20? Relatively easy to build, possibly a new regiment? Retire or update Catachan finally.
Astra Militarum Heavy Weapon Squad (current designs are not too bad but the weapon mold is deteoriating)
Basilisk/Griffon dual kit, using similar design as updated Chimera, Hellhound and Leman Russ variants. I still don't understand why they didn't do this when they updated all other tanks!

Inquisitorial Henchmen kit would be nice but Blackstone Fortress has that covered to some extent.

Tyranid Termagaunts, Hormagaunts, Genestealers. Minor updates. Sprue of ten (box of 20) for 'gaunts and five for Genestealers.
Plastic Lictor with silly scenic base that doesn't match your army (similar to Newcrons)
Tyranid Hive-something-something terrain piece

Eldar Guardians. Sprue of 10, multiple head options. Option for Storm Guardians, although a separate kit would be preferred. Easier to build than current models.
Eldar Rangers and Aspect Warriors. Unfortunately the future does not seem too bright for them if business decisions are based on how well Howling Banshees have sold. Many people are disgusted at the Banshee pricing and/or waiting for other Aspect Warriors to be updated before starting an Eldar army.

Khorne Berserkers. Enough said?
Noise Marines and Noise Marine Terminators. Slaanesh deserves more love. AoS Slaanesh release last year was quite big but lasted one week and was forgotten immediately after.

Orc boyz that look more like recent orcs and less like gorillas that have swallowed lemons.
Plastic Kommandos.

Have they really though?

And there again comes a point where Guard will just be "GSC without the gribbly bits". We've already, effectively, been there since the new GSC book dropped but let us at least hold some damn hope for a real rework of the book. We don't need Rough Riders or Bikers to become commonplace in Guard, we need a top to bottom rework of the book.

I don't disagree.

For example, I'd love for it to be viable to play infantry guard, that is to say foot soldiers with not a single piece of heavy equipment. That's why I think those bikes could be ported over to the guard book. I'd like to see infantry up to 20, conscripts up to 30 and so on.

No. Infantry Squads need to be made into an elite unit, Conscripts stay as trash.

Personally? Some kind of DG Havocs or another option for infantry based heavy fire support. Fills some gaps in our codex and keeps with the infantry theme DG has.

Realistically and overall better: update the eldar range and other old and/or finecast lines still in the range.

Wouldnt mind it if custodies got their stealth unit.

Custodian Blood Games Operative- equipped with synthskin outfit.

Would just be a buff dude wearing the black skintight stuit.

Abilities would be -2 to hit while in cover, 5++ invun from reflex's, scout deployment, and he could steal weapons from whichever unit he is attacking.

Adaptive fighting- Whenever this model successfully charges an enemy unit you can select one of its weapons to equip. A single model from the charged unit looses the use of said weapon. Cannot be used to take heavy weapons.

So, a buffed up imperial assassin, but with copious amounts of body oil applied? I dig it

But where are you getting that stealing weapons idea from? Are the eyes of the emperor known to be notorious kleptomaniacs?

You know it would be great if GW could do for the IG what they've done with Warcry.

Ergo release a single box of models with the infantry, heavy weapons and such and perhaps some insignia attachments for tanks for different regiments for the IG. Considering that its the basic rank troops that have the most variety of uniform whilst things like tanks are pretty standard; they could do that for the IG like they've done for Slaves to Darkness. It would be an affordable way for them to release several different types of guard without having to build a whole new army for each one.

Yep. Death Guard have Poxwalkers. I'd want Slaanesh to get something other than Beastmen as a type mortal non-Marine troop type.

But Khorngors seem perfect for World Eathers/Khorne-based Heretic Astartes armies.
