Lets hope the packaging is better on her than it was on Skeletor... I'm not sure why they created the foam inserts and then didn't bother to use them to support the figures during shipping.

base game is 12 heroes (25mm bases) with 30 pawns (smaller sized so the can be placed on the board in key strategic locations)

The core comes with "Masters of The Universe" and "Evil Warriors." The expansions will introduce "Evil Horde" and "Snakemen."

For US readers, the TL;DR is that it's still not available technically outside of Europe by their license. I'm going to guess there will be some semi-official way around it at a cost though but this part is speculation.

I can't see there being any work around as CMON have the US license. The only way to get it would be to have someone based in the EU reship it but I can't see Archon facilitating this directly. They've already messed up one licensed game I doubt they'll want a repeat of that.

UK backers probably should be OK as they say European territory rather than EU (it really depends on what their license says ans that they aren't mixing up territorial status) but they will probably incur extra VAT charges as Archon are in Poland so it's an export from the EU.

This would fall under the purview of the Loot Group.

By semi-official, I meant more of either a private individual(s) buying up massive amounts of quantities that obviously are not for "personal" use or even a store doing the same with the wink-wink-nudge Sgt. Schultz from Archon.

Interesting choice. I'd expect a Hordak LE before the KS too, which would then give each of the factions at least one mounted version of their heroes

Awwe so they're doing the Snakemen BEFORE the Rebellion?

That's going to hurt sales of the remaining She-Ra LE miniature. What's the point of getting her and Swifty if she has no faction confirmed?

According to the latest email I've received, the Skeletor miniature with the game will be 43mm tall.




Hopefully that's referring to the top of his hand otherwise he doesn't scale with the miniature on Panthor.

Yeah when I heard the 43mm thing I was very confused and disappointed. If Archon makes the mistake of scaling these minis differently from one of the standard sizes then they are going to turn off a lot of prospective customers.

Does that include the base? if so then it could be around 35mm. But also wouldn't we know the scale by now since several mounted sets have been received by people?

Only if the mounted models are the same scale as the others.

The scale arrow in that image does seem to be extending up to his hand, though.

I thought the mounted models had game cards so I would assume they'd be in scale with everything else.

It's also to the bottom of the base which is why mentioned it might include them.

It's a boardgame. There's no particular reason to assume that everything they make for it will be in a single scale. Particularly where limited edition models that potentially wind up being too big for the board would be concerned.

They have already talked about the heroes being a different size to the army pawns, so it wouldn't really surprise me if the characters are not to the same scale as the mounted versions as they are just markers

Well that makes it much less desirable for wargamers I reckon. Seems a bit of a silly thing to do to me.

When did "gamefound" become a thing? Are crowdfunding sites sprouting up for tiny independent niches now? I heard there will also be a specific comics only crowdfunding site and now this one appears to be tabletop gaming only. From their info page, it's only got 78 ongoing AND upcoming projects.

It's owned by Awaken Realms. I believe it started out as a pledge manager, and then based on their own experience with Kickstarter they expanded it into a game-focused crowdfunding platform, although it still functions as a pledge manager for projects from other crowdfunding platforms as well.

Random guess is that they're using GF because, last I read, Archon doesn't have the rights for USA release (CMON is doing that), and they're limited to 2000 units. Also, KS may take a higher chunk of the funding.

Is it me or does this look like one of those board games where the hero minis are much larger than the minion minis. Hope not as this ruins potential use for other things..

Yeah, lost my interest when they stated that. Don't need more boardgames if the minis are not (or only partially) useable in skirmish games.
