I am alive, Been surviving a particularly nasty British Columbian winter, with my country putting it's pants on it's head as it tries to deal with the 'Rona. Work is scarse and I'm thinking about trying to find a new line of work.

Oh hey as a general note, anyone seen Cheesecat around these parts?

@Shadowbrand - sounds like a tough time, keep your chin up lad! Sometimes it’s a lengthy road to figure out where you’re supposed to be (as it has been for me this past few years) but you’ll get there - what sort of thing would you like to do?

I mean, at this point anything that doesn't crush my soul quite like Linecook/Sous Chef work does. I've thought about trying to get into IT. Or looking into what kind of Trade or Construction groups are hiring.

I'm not sure if this is a reff to the ork term dakka and therefore slightly related to this site, but in the mass effect series there is a star system named dakka.

The articles says it may be named after a temple in egypt dedicated to Thoth, or it may mean someone on the ME design crew played 40k.

if it is i'm sure no one will ever admit the term came from 40k lest GW sue everyone connected with the ME series for every cent they ere made or will ever make...

I don't really come here much anymore, got rid of all my GW stuff many years ago so not much of this site's content is relevant to me anymore. Still like the community aspect though.

Oh no, I had finally forgotten about that meme and now it is back! This is a dangerous road we are walking. Before we know it people will be back talking about Space Corridors and Industrial Towers and debating FZORGLE lists.

Sometimes I miss the pre-ban OT. It was a pretty lively place and there were lots of awesome people who used to post regularly but who now seem to have mostly left or only post sporadically. And for me personally when I was a teenager it was a good place to come practice my English, debating skills and learn new stuff. Still, it is probably better for the sanity (and workload) of the mods that the ban stays in place.

And thanks @creeping-deth87 for the link to Dakka history. That was interesting! I had no idea Dakka used to be an actual, physical place.
