One more reason the DoW series is not canon....the Eldar in that are routinely losing fistfights to basic humans.

The assumption of Primaris being faster than Firstborn likely comes from them having more attacks at a base level. However, since Initiative didn't exist for Primaris, it's hard to have a metric to judge other than "me punch more often."

The muscle coils don't mention anything about enhanced speed, only strength, which isn't reflected in the rules.

The mostly likely one I can think of, is that the "Magnificat" organ enhances the function of other organs in the Primaris body "Especially those of the Biscopea and the Ossmodula".

The Biscopea is for "Combat Ability and survivability." The first part could probably include being faster?

The original question was for first born. Because fluff was being fluff, and I just wanted to discuss. One can assume since Watchers of the Throne, that the Astartes 2.0 are roughly the same as their bretheren when it comes to speed.

Seeing that the base Genestealer was I6 compared to most Eldar having I5, that order is wrong.

If an Astartes is "worth" 100 mooks of <Insert Species X> it only takes 101 to kill him. The Tyranids had billions of organisms to the Ultramarines ~1000.

Depends what edition you're measuring against.

In 2nd ed genestealers were initiative 7. Eldar exarchs were i8.

Farseers, solitaires, death jesters, great Harlequins were all i9.

All the Phoenix lords bar maugan Ra and fuegan were i10 (which is the same as an avatar, keeper of secrets and blood thirster in that edition).

So yeah, an *exceptional* Eldars initiative was the highest possible in the game.

There are a couple places this is described. While the Ultras lost the first company they took a heavy toll on the nids.

“Captain Invictus’s body was discovered amoung those of the last stand of the 1st company in Silo 8 of the northern fortress. It is said that the bodies of their enemies stretched six deep for twenty yards all about them, and every pace from the silo to the entrance four levels above”

But as you say, it’s not the 100 you are equal to that’s the problem, but the one more on top. And nids can just pour in more bugs.
