I’m in for...well, let’s face it, it’s me. I’m in for all of it, because I’m a slag for exclusives! If memory serves, the reward tiers top out at One of Everything, except the models themselves.

In previous years, Mass Looting has netted me multiples of the rewards. I tend to keep one set for myself (they are free after all) then make the rest available in the group.

The bag looks ideal for an iPad or other tablet as well, which is nice.

Might be one of the first Stormcast models I go out of my way to get. Stormcast vanguard are probably my favorite chamber, so that's a plus. Not big on the head, but that's an easy fix. (And I never did like the paperthin fur cloaks they wear.) Actually, all I want is that hand holding the head.

Cryptek is awesome too.

I feel that the only thing wrong with the Cryptek is that he's a bit too plain when compared to the Chronomancer and the others. He looks more like a Warrior than a Cryptek. Might still get him however...

Much as I’ll be getting him, and would even if he wasn’t an exclusive, the pose is reminiscent of someone who’s shower has been disrupted by the doorbell.

Would like to get that necron but odds are not going for 120km trip one way on the week(whenever that is...) it is available

It's not as if the basic Technomancer is stuck with an appalling Finecast model or anything... Ooooh...

When will these models be available. IIRC, in the past the switchover happened sometime in May-June. Will that be the same for these or will they be available in Jan for stores with Anniversaries that month?

Normally the Milton Keynes store is the first to get them, and that’s either June or July. Certainly I did my first couple of mass loots with them.

But with COVID in the mix, and a third national lockdown active as of now? All bets are off.

Aye, just been announced that non "essential" retail will have to close in England for the lockdown. I would not want to rule out these two becoming webstore made to order, like last years event mini's.

Dice bag looks nicer than the previous one.
Dice tray looks cheap as feth. Should've kept producing the square wooden one. Feels so much nicer and has a lot more space for dice to roll on.
Bag looks like a decent thing to put all those templates and dice in.

Guess it depends on vaccination rates. With two now sanctioned for use, we just need a concerted, properly organised effort.

Some hobbyists may see opening time disruptions due to the global situation, so your store’s celebration might be on a different day than it normally would. But don’t worry – everyone will still have their chance to get these celebratory models.

They addressed that...and their shops aren't exactly letting you hang around right now. Plus, it's a 7 day window for you to be able to place an order--same as other years.

I totally get the concern. Really, I do. But they've done a lot relating to these past few 'store event' items that have still made the experience feel a hell of a lot safer than going to the grocery store has for me.

Gw's been pretty constant that if you don't feel safe heading to your local store you can tall up the store manager if they are open and most are happy to put things aside etc... Heck I suspect some are even putting things in the mail and suchlike.
Honestly GW stores are likely pretty safe all told at present. From what I can tell socialising/eating/partying and working in close proximity to others are all vastly higher risk situations. A GW store you're basically turning up, masking up, buying what you want and leaving all fairly quickly. Wash your hands and such and you should be reasonably safe - at least as safe as doing the weekly food shopping.


In the end I do agree its not the right promotion for this time of year, but if the government allows shops to be open then those owners do sort of want you buying stuff from them to keep the lights on.


That said if the lockdowns on retail start hitting most of the country I can see GW doing what they did last year and just making them made-to-order one weekend.

And unfortunately they have been completely quiet about what is happening with last years models. Both the GW store 30 mins from me and the one over a hour from me had thier store birthday during our lockdown, So there was never a chance to get Jovan or the stormcast model from last year.

I feel like some of these are a little...less exciting than usual?

It's awesome to have a Necron model, great to see them doing more varied limited stuff, but the model itself just seems a bit bland.

The artwork feels like they've vastly reduced the quality of things overall in favour of a gimmick, with going from 4 nice prints to what appears to be 1 lenticular?

I will want to get 4 of that Cryptek.

True enough. Offer always stands though, as we’re likely still cheaper than Scalpy McScalpface!

I have Necrons, and the model is ok, could have it but not rushing etc.
I don’t really have Stormcast, but I do like this chap..

Middlesbrough (UK) store has posted on FB that they're aiming/hoping for end of March.

that's by far the best StormCast they ever produced imo. Usually I think they look like basura, but this one has a cool warrior priest vibe
