Eliminators are yesterdays news.

If you meant Eradicators they're still OP, and can be a huge problem for real life casual to semi-competitive armies even if in tournaments they're not the flavour of the month. Models that worth 60-70ppm and jump from 40 to 45ppm doesn't mean they're now fixed. Simply, SM have other OP alternatives for spamming meltas.

There double shooting should IMHO be a strat not in innate ability but generally I have less issue with Eradicators as you do need to work to get them close enough.

Boosting up the mimimum damage from Las Canon like weapons but also boosting the wounds of heavier tanks does seem like it would be an improvement, a Rhino having almost half the wounds of a Baneblade never really made much sense to me. A Baneblade having more wounds than a Knight though I think does make sense, one shielded with better quality armour but the other having more significant bulk and being much less complex.

So, all in all, old set of rules (7ed) about tanks were better, they needed only some tweaks.

In real life lasguns still don't do jack against tanks and in 7th most tanks were instant killed by a single shot. Not to mention that high RoF weapons that could glance do death vehicles regardless of their S and AV values existed and for some armies were also easy to spam.

Yes, that’s was what I were referring to with the need of some tweaks.
