For my part against my better judgement I have tried out the free to play Genshin Impact and find myself playing that later in the evening when I am just chilling. The aesthetic is a little too cute for my tastes but the graphics are fantastic and the world super appealing. There is a lot of crap in the game you can purchase with real money but so far there seems to be a ton of content without spending a cent...

I would suggest any game which doesn´t need you to react immediately. So turn-based games would fit the bill instead of RTS, shooters or fighting games.

Yes for sure. I've been quite enjoyed Blood Bowl 2 at the moment, great as a hangover game as you can sit down with a cup of tea and take your time!

Wouldn't recommend Gloomhaven for that, despite being turn based and fun. Still wants a _lot_ of attention to detail to get through the missions.

I don't know why I missed it off my original post in this thread but Stardew Valley is a fantastic game to play when tired (or indeed wide awake).

Stardew Valley was going to be my choice as well, it's super relaxing to me, and doesn't involve too much heavy thinking.
