Only thing I don't agree with is the Enriched Rounds nerf. You either make something more expensive to represent its worth, or reduce its worth to represent its cost. Here they've both made it worse and made it more expensive.

I disagree with this. Enriched rounds was far, far to good. It needed to be both nerfed and go up in CP cost. It's still incredibly good even with these nerfs.

With that being said, I am pretty suprised with no points increases. Vanguard/Rangers really should have seen a points increase IMO. I also don't think the Lucius nerf really felt half hearted.

We'll see how things go, but I still suspect Ad Mech will be top dogs even with this round of nerfs.

I don't see the point in enriched rounds now. Vanguard have a S3 gun, so it only matters against T6 non-vehicles which aren't super common, unless I misunderstand the stratagem?

For 2cp you still generate 20 auto wounds off the shooting against anything that isn't a vehicle. Combined with the normal AP1 you can toss on there it's still a really good strat because you're still rolling to wound with another 20 dice meaning on t4-5 it's still a total of 26-27 wounds and t6+ 23 wounds. That's still gonna allow a 165pt unit to dunk most monsters/units.

With the slightly lower durability removing them will be easier and powering them will be tougher. Still strong, but better to not go too far with other books entering the fray.

You auto-wound on a HIT roll of 5+ (previously 4+). So it was jumping past the whole 2nd round of rolling with 50% of your shots on 20-man blobs for 1cp.

Points increase wasn't likely in the cards.

They made their choice by letting you horde up Skitarii. As soon as they made it clear that we get 20 model squads? That crap was plummeting in points.

It auto-wounds on a hit roll of a 5+, not a wound roll of a 5+.

It's better that they made these changes now than not making them, but they're absolutely complete common sense stuff that any vaguely competent playtesting program should have uncovered and corrected long before release. Waiting two months to do what people knew needed to be done within days of release just reinforces the impression that GW's internal balance controls are totally broken.

More like minutes. Or seconds, assuming lots of people flip straight to stratagems when they get their books.
