They remind me of Dirz's Belisarius Clones...repurposed by the Ram.

Urusei Yatsura, Cerebus the Aardvark, Machiavelli, Plato and Happy Days. So, how was your childhood?

Honestly, actually treating this like a new game and starting from scratch (keeping the lore/style) seems like a better option than anything else.

If they really are doing that, then there is hope for the game yet. It will make the grognards happy, and allow a fresh start at the same time.

What I am really interested in however, are the rule designs. The prepainted confrontation ruleset I thought was going in a nice direction. But my opinion about that was clouded by my absolute fanatical love for the AT-43 rules set and how they handled squad based combat/movement/command radius/etc which shared a lot of common features with confrontation (read: borrowed heavily from AT-43).

I remain cautiously optimistic.

Now what material will the models be cast from?

Temple of the West have been posting images of one of concept art and upcoming sculpts

I hope they can figure out how to get better photographs.

Spoiler:

Ironically I can't see the pics, lol. If the images don't properly display for anyone else, they worked for me when I right-click and open in a new tab. It's nothing you did but just something I commonly see with Facebook hosted pics and probably related to privacy add ons I have for the browser to stop tracking cookies and such.

Where did Rackham's sculptors end up? They were the best in the world 15 years ago. Did they end up working on another game?

All over the place.

Games Workshop, Mierce (at the beginning), Infinity, McVey Studios, the guys behind Drakerys, CMON (Wrath of Kings)...they had some of the absolute best, and many of the just went freelance. I suspect no small number of them also sculpt for Signum.

Stephane Simon, Aragorn Marks, Yannick Hennebo, Edgar Skomorowski, Paul Bonner, Oliver Lafitte, Sean Green, Jean-Philippe Poulet, Edouard Guiton, Benoit Cosse, MIKH, Madura...I know I am missing a bunch.

Writing this list makes me sad for what could have been...hopefully Temple of the West makes Confrontation great again...or at least builds it back better.

Urusei Yatsura, Cerebus the Aardvark, Machiavelli, Plato and Happy Days. So, how was your childhood?

So pre-orders started for this a bit ago and Tre Manor is doing some sculpting for them. There's a limited edition objective marker by him from some old artwork you can get independent of the pre-order. Sorry, their website images are huge.

And the basic pre-order bundle
