According to GW, they come in this shapes:

- 48 small round
- 35 large round
- 24 rectangular, rounded ends
- 18 crescents

Reasonable prices from GW at last?

I mean, GamerGrass looks like good stuff, but highly specific alien neon grass vs perfectly fine generic green and brown tufts with different sizes and at decent prices?

Add this to people who need a third party to order GamerGrass.

I'd take the 144 gamers grass tufts at £4 tbh.

You realise it aint all alien stuff?

My local only stocks the Alien & Spikey stuff, so I've not seen the 'normal' ones. Are the Small or Wild ones the same as the GW ones?

You realize shipping costs are a thing, yes? If you only need 1-2 boxes, grabbing one at GW store might well be cheaper than getting them online, not to mention getting them instantly, not week or two later (which is also a thing now, with current disruptions I am getting mail that used to take 3-5 days up to 2-3 weeks later)...

Shipping is indeed a thing but (I assume your flag is correct)- I can't think of any polish LGSs that stock ONLY gw hobby stuff and there's exactly one GW store in Poland, so chances of you being in a situation where GW tufts are the only option is basically as small as winning a lottery, and two- Hobby stuff isn't really high urgency items. No one NEEDS tufts by tomorrow.

it might shock you but not everyone lives in Poland.

Also gamergrass etc, are they a european company? cause with supply lines being what they are, being able to buy grass tufts in a local shop is ABSOLUTELY better then ordering something you might potentially have to wait months for.

I might not order this myself (I have multiple stores in town including an AWESOME hobby shop that sells model railroad, warhammer and other stuff) but that doesn't mean there's not a market for it

Sigh. You know how ordering GW in Poland looks like? Every new release is a trawl through webstores to see which one offers biggest discount (as these for some reason tend to be random, shop that offered 20% off on Indomitus might only offer 5% off on Start Collecting and so on). My last big purchase was Dominion from a store I had never heard of before - and the thing is, while I do buy alt modelling supplies (I bought way more Vallejo paint than Citadel, for one) it's the current store that determines what I will grab to go with my main order, and while some of these stock Vallejo, or Army Painter, or AK, or whatever, they all stock GW stuff while other brands are mostly random. So, yeah, between getting nothing and getting GW tufts, I will get GW, unless store of the month actually has alt stuff that I need.

And I was being charitable here, btw, GamersGrass looks nice but it's either shipping from Portugal, the other end of Europe, with all the problems and costs it brings, or hunting for whatever random bits from their offer a handful of stores in Poland that do have them and hoping they have reasonable terms, never mind stocking any other stuff that I might want to order.

$15 for 125 tufts is more than the competitors charge.

Army Painter is $7 for 77 direct, on Amazon (with shipping probably baked in to the price) they sell more for $9-$12.

Your FLGS might be able to get discounts, on one or both.

Seeing how high GW normally marks up over other products, I’m a little shocked they were not priced higher. $15 seems reasonable. Sure, you could save a few buck by going elsewhere, but one pack should cover a decent sized army, and while not at impulse buy range, it’s close.

Price aside, I care more about the quality of them.

Tufts I've bought in the past have a very visible "base". Also many of them don't conform well to textured basing materials.

So I'm more curious how they look once on an actual base.

I agree, the quality is more important than price. I skipped the previous tufts because they looked too glossy to me.

I am aware that other manufacturers may offer better price per tuft but I don't think that these are horribly expensive either. 12 eur is well within impulse purchase range nowadays. Also, being available within 10 minute drive is a plus in my books.

I am going to take a closer look once they arrive at my local store.

That place is the harsh dark future far left with only war left.

It might shock you, but this reply was directed to someone that isn't you, and that person has a Polish flag on their profile. For some reason no one brings it up when 90% of discussion is focused on the US market.
You know how ordering GW in Poland looks like?
I'm from warsaw, so not really, but I assume Poles do it the same way as we do in Warsaw, looking at the large number of polish online stores that stock gaming stuff if they don't have a local store they can go it.

Literally typing "gamers grass sklep" into google gave me 3 shops with pretty decent stock on the first page alone. Unless of course you literally only every buy hobby materials when you also buy figures, but that's on you, not on availability of the products.

Reread what Irbis wrote. His choice of words (e.g., 'you' instead of 'I') shows he was talking in general and not about himself personally.

Then to be correct he should have used "one" as in "if one is shopping online."

While colloquially "you" is often used in the same context, it's precisely why a third option exists aside from you or I, as "you" can be taken to mean "the individual I am addressing" and not "people in general."

Well, GW only did it with a Giant Giant - everyone knows that a Mega-Gargant is the old Ork Titan-equivalent from Titan Legions...

Well, the bottle thingy goes on the triangular thingy and the head thingy goes atop the platform that goes on the bottle thingy and the grabbers on the triangular thingy grab the handle of the stick thingy and the remaining head thingies line the stick thingy.

It'll be more like a gun platform zord. Do zords form gun platforms?

As any mecha fan can tell you, if it looks like a Zord but it has guns on it, it's actually a Zoid.

I love my spray stick (now known as the MkI).

Not only is it better than an upturbed cardboard box, it outperforms the old bed slat that I used to use PLUS it's one of the few things my wife has actually bought from GW to give me as a present.

I don't view it in the same way as Emily views Bagpuss but it's getting close ( the spray stick, not my wife).

The spray stick seems to fix the main issue with the old version - that spraying the side facing toward the handle is difficult.

Honestly the spray stick seems pretty good. I'm not sure about the disposable head sprues - honestly the amount of work involved to mount things seems no easier than cocktail sticks - but the stick is really useful for a lot of people and this is a good improvement.
