So a slightly annoying thing I've realised...

Craftworlds can make an army, get strands of fate, and include a small harlequins detachment.

But Harlequins can't make an army, get luck, and include a small craftworlds detachment.

Might be the fluffy way of doing things, but still screws up my cool army list idea lol. If you want your army to be mostly harlequins but have some cwe units, you have to give up luck for 90% of your army. (Though you do gain strands on the 10% remaining, for what thats worth).

Wait till you learn about ynnari......

Fluffwise. In the 5th edition, the Eldar codex had an Elite entry for Harlequines and at that time there was no Harlie codex around.
Frankly, Harlies are a stronger army than CW atm. CW support is superfluous.

Lose all rules for everyone in exchange for a crappy legion trait.

Hard pass lol. Ynnari died many many years ago, gw just still have some yncarnes on the shelves to get rid of before they squat the line.

How does rule of 3 interact with core troops?

Can I have 4 units of Troupe Players?

Rule of 3 (or 2/3/4 based on army size) excludes Troops and Dedicated Transports. So yes, you can run 4 Troupes.

Number of dedicated transports is limited by the number of infantry units.

Kind thanks to you both! haha I was worried for a bit,

Does anyone know what most the recent Made-to-Order is? I don't want to buy Troupes circa 2004 if they are finecast. All my harlequins are metal and to expand them I would like to avoid finecast at all costs,.. literally.

All new Harlie models / units are plastic.
There are no finecast Harlies at all.

GW came out with a "Made to Order" for the old models when they were in metal. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/03/27/sunday-preview-ghosts-fighting-gladiators-and-tonnes-of-thematic-terrain/

They will most likely be Finecast.

Thread is pretty light; are people:
a) rage quitting after the voidweaver nerf
b) rage quitting after some other reason
c) posting in the Aeldari thread (which I thought was for craftworld)?
d) so good and so finetuned with so few options no need to query this thread

I have a limited collection. 20 troupe, 4 transports, slew of characters. But i have a lot of Craftworld. For casual competative I'm thinking
troupe master
couple shadoweavers
3 death jesters
4 x 5 Troupes (probably a couple Fusion pistols in each) with transport

then add some Craftworld support. Anything from craftworld really stand out? It's mostly aspect warriors but I do have 20 guardians, some warwalkers, wraithlords, wraithknight, a couple WSs and a falcon (and all the heroes).

I was thinking of trying Baharoth, 10 Swoopy Hawks, 10 Warpspiders for DS shooting distraction. Or some sort of wraith-based backline for fire support.

Thanks kindly folks

Forum base discussion is just not that popular anymore honestly. Discord and groups are always talking. More organic when you can talk to many people live all the time, have different threads for tactics, lists, batreps, rules, etc... for each army as well.

Quins are still not as popular as many armies but doing just fine and are actually still one of the top 3 armies.

We must see the points changes update, but I think the harlequins will be good also in the new Nephilim GT pack.
I'm not sure mix them with the Craftworlds/Drukhari will be the best choice, exept maybe for the Ynnari, I need to look them better but it could be nice because some of their powers and ability match well with the clowns.
I tell this because between the less command points and the no more free warlord traits+relics spending other cps for extra detachments will be a pain.

Anyone need to vent now that the dataslate has neutered Light Saedeth, Crippled Dark Saedeth, and made our mono-faction bonus nearly irrelevent?

Okay so,.. no one has a suggestion?

What if I put out 3 Warwalkers and 3 Wraithlords as a backline with maybe a Spirit Seer or Baharoth or something? Just as added firesupport to 20 Troupers in 4 Starweavers?

Going along the right lines? Better options for aligning in Harlequins?

thanks for any help

if not what is the discord so I can try hoping on please

I've seen people using the dark saedath for the mortal wounds in an effort to compensate for the Armour of Contempt

Personally im leaning to mono-harlequin lists, lots of boats with fusion clowns and some bikes.
if going for eldar soup, the warwalkers with shuriken and the hail of doom are pretty good, combined with some windriders and skyrunner farseer with doom/guide
