One of the things I love about Blink is that it could have been made at any point in cinematic history. No one really thought to do it for some reason.

Yup, read the same. This is what makes me a bit nervous about RTD. I am grateful he brought the show back but his own writing was patchy at best. Will this be Back to the Future or rehashes and retcons?
Probably not worth a new thread, so I'll necro the most recently active.
Jodie Whitaker's finale as the Doctor is set to air in a remarkably imminent 15 days from time of writing on 23rd October.

We find comfort among those who agree with us - growth among those who don't. - Frank Howard Clark
The wise man doubts often, and changes his mind; the fool is obstinate, and doubts not; he knows all things but his own ignorance.
The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!” Professor Brian Cox
I think that's the anniversary which is next year? This is just Jodie's swansong, and presumably setting up to feed into that. Which begs the question what'll happen over Christmas?

Disney announced Tuesday morning that it will be the new home for upcoming seasons of the classic BBC science fiction series in the United States and around the world, a major streaming acquisition for a streaming service that's already home to major franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars. Ncuti Gatwa, who will play the Fifteenth Doctor on the series, confirmed the news during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan this morning, according to a Disney press release.
'It is a source of constant consternation that my opponents cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

Whilst yes it still has handwavium solutions, everything else was great fun. And finally. Not far off 33 years to the day, we got to say goodbye to Ace. Properly.

That worked for me. And in terms of Musical Master, infinitely preferable to John Sims’ god awful outing with the insipid Voodoo Child. A crap song utterly unrelated to what was unfolding. You know the episode. The one which suggested ancient Time Lords look like reborn Voldemort and Dobby had some fun round the back of Hogwart’s bike sheds.

Probably the best moment up to the last 10 minutes. The rest somehow felt both rushed and tedious at the same time. I was waiting for someone to actually do something other than stand around passively in the face of threats and enemy action.
The 'static electricity' moments were obviously telegraphing something, but it was basically the opposite of what I thought, and way less interesting (i was thinking robot doubles but wasn't sure who had been doubled).
The end bothers me a little, just because it feels like a half-measure reconciliation with the fans who left. Push the (12 year?) nostalgia button and see if the lost audience comes running back.
