Hah, your wacky commercial hijinks are no match for the power of Brexit! No, wait…

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Oh the small gaming companies are all feeling the pain of far fewer US (shipping) and EU (shipping, Brexit related paperwork and VAT issues although that can be dealt with to a degree)

but there's nothing they can do about it, most have been absorbing extra costs for the last few years and don't have the capability to do so any more,

they've no influence on global shipping costs

and now brexit has happened it won't be rolled back (sad to say) so the best that they can do is sell into the EU direct duty paid which means the customer doesn't have to pay anything other than the website price for orders up to £135 although there are extra admin costs for the company

Here on the West coast of the US. All the smart money people in my group stopped buying anything from the UK due to shipping costs. This includes KS and retailers shipping direct rather than through a US source. If as a group we redirect spending $1,000 per year from British companies to the US (or anywhere reasonable) then how many purchasing cells like this would it take before an impact is felt by UK companies?

I'm sure the US Postal Service will give a crap...

My sense of the UK market is that people here are also reluctant to back big-ticket KS items. I've backed several Reaper and CMON KS and just expected to pay big shipping and import costs in the past, but I've stopped in the last year or two, and the number of people who backed the Marvel Zombicide game and are now aghast at how much it's costing them in shipping and taxes, is pretty much everyone I know who backed it in the UK.

My point being, I guess, that none of this is likely to be positive for gaming companies either side of the Atlantic. :( Especially considering cost of living crisis issues -- I know most of us are middle-aged and in established jobs with a bit of wiggle room for buying luxuries, but sooner or later the increased price of food and energy is going to cut into that even for us.

It is bad news that they have gone out of business they had great products.

I don’t know what I am going to do without instructions… I hope that they reappear in some form.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Sad to hear these guys have gone. I remember visiting their stalls a couple of times at Salute and always seemed like a good bunch and genuinely passionate about what they did.

During the early Horus Heresy modelling days, back long before the official models came along, I know a lot of the community used them as a one-stop shop for conversion bits: railway rivits, textured card and other bits were ideal for 30k conversions.

Then when Infinity really started to take off for a while they were one of the premier stockists of building kits and even had their own miniature range (some of their sci-fi tanks and vehicles were lovely, I have quite a few of them).

It sounds like a combination of their own circumstances and the usual (covid & brexit primarily) working in tandem. I know they are not the first British hobby company to go down and unfortunately they will almost certainly not be the last.

It looks like Antenocitis Workshop has shut down for good. The main company site is down, and the Twitter and Facebook have been removed. Apparently the company has gone into liquidation.

It's a shame, they had a lot of great miniatures and terrain pieces. I've reached out to them to ask about any plans they have to sell the IP or make STLs available to people who purchased them previously but haven't downloaded them yet (I backed mine up, but I feel really bad for people who didn't), but I haven't heard anything back yet.

I'll let people know if I get a response.

You mention you have some instructions backed up? Are these for any mdf buildings? Would it be possible to share them? The drive linked earlier is mine, but many of them are just cached google clips, and not full instructions from their site. I’d love to add them. Thanks!

All I have is the .STL I bought and downloaded. I never purchased any of their MDF buildings, so I don't have the instructions for those, sorry.
