No. If you airbrush them they act like normal paints. They go through the airbrush beautifully though.

I slightly disagree with you on this. Contrast through an airbrush do NOT act like a normal paint, they act more akin to an ink due to their translucent properties.

If anything they act like a filter for what ever paint you have on under them, and as the name says they actually boost the contrast of paints under it. For example, if you air brush a blue, and put a baby blue highlight, then a dark dark blue into the shadows, then shoot a contrast over all of it, its like taking the remote to your TV and blasting the saturation setting, your highlights get richer, and your darkers get darker thy are actually amazing through an airbrush though, and i totally suggest people try it.
But acting just like a normal paint? gonna have to disagree on that. But yes they go through an airbrush like gak through a goose its amazing.

Indeed. You are correct here. I generally only airbrush translucent layers so I wasn't being particularly clear in my explanation.

Thats totally fair and 9/10 times im doing the same with translucent layers, and the other 1/10 times are base coating.

To many unpainted models to count.

I use the GW ones a bit. I love the white and tallasar blue. I havent been able to make the others work for me so much. Looking forward to the new teal colours, and maybe the brown for leather, but I don’t think I’ll be getting the whole range.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Looks like there’s more players in the game.

The are called dipping inks but looking at the videos on their website these are essentially the same as contrast paints.

Looks like you will get 3 times as much for your money though.

I use Contrast paints a lot. It took some trial and error to understand how to use them effectively but now they are the primary tool in my painting projects. The only problem is that I enjoy using them so much that I am constantly planning new projects instead of finishing what I have started. Contrast paints haven't helped me to finish models but I reach the point of giving up faster and more often so I guess that is still an improvement

Imagine traditional basecoat-shade-highlight process without having to paint the basecoat at all. That's how much Contrast paints save time.

You won't find many finished models from my Instagram but everything there is painted using mostly Contrast paints.
