Those Khorne football players turned out great! I might have to try that slap-chop method sometime; it seems to give good results.

Thanks Zergsmasher

Unfortunately, when I got home last night from work, all but the three who needed the most work were scattered all over the floor. Seems they got a game in versus my cats and lost bad. Appropriately for Khorne two lost their heads and one of those two also lost a leg. Disheartening to say the least. It has to be the work of at least two of my cats as two kills would have leveled one up and none of them seems to have gotten more skilled.

I guess conversions are in order, or buying more models .

Sad to hear about the models. Having had similar cat problems, I tried sticking WIPs in a breadbox on my desk, though then you get the "out of sight of of mind" thing going.

Ouch...sorry to hear about the cats...looks like your team "got some"....main reason I never want cats (well I'm allergic too but that is secondary) but at least dogs tend to stay on the ground .

Yeah that is one of the reasons I don't have a cat (despite the fact that I actually love cats). A little superglue and they'll be as good as new. Make sure to put some Blood for the Blood God on them as well!

Our old beagle Sunflower (Wife's before we got married, then became my dog as all pets love me), used to climb up on everything, she would enjoy car rides and sit in the back window ledge to have the best view, she would sit on the top of the chairs and couches on the headrest when you sat down so she would be above you, so I don't believe you . Friends have had dogs that are lap dogs or would jump up on tables. I think they were just ill trained, or wanna be cats.

And yes, my cats do enjoy the thug life all too often. I will send that video to my wife.

I would never put superglue on my cats ....oh, you meant the models . I still have not found the leg or the heads. I hope the cats didn't eat them as they are spikey.

Well, last night my wife had a ladies night, so I had a guys night and got to play Core Space at Miniature Market. Plenty of mistakes made, but very fun time. Takes a long time to set up, but looks great playing.

The purge came in, luckily they were popping up near my opponent, which slowed him down. I was able to retrieve the objective for the Salvage mission and escape before any Living ones showed up. They killed all the civillians, but no players were injured. I got fantastic loot and got out while the getting was good.

Today I am trying to get painting done at work. My coworker is off, all the Doctors are busy at other locations, so I brought my newly put together travel painting box.

Just an old Chessex miniature box with the foam out and all my Contrast paints and a couple brushes.

To start off the painting I picked up the Gorechosen of Dromm at Miniature Market last night. I got them assembled and primed before I went to sleep.

They will be joining the Khorne Blood Bowl team as Coach, Big guy (forget the name) and apothecary. Size comparison.

45 minutes of painting at work between calls.

Gore Hulk is basically done, besides basing.

Arena Rex models should arrive tonight according to USPS.

Edit: Work is slow today and painting is quick.

I present my Blood Bowl Coach: Dromm Wounder of Worlds.

I think I am done painting for today... the third guy from the set doesn't do anything for me. I do have the rest of the team to Finish up though....we will see.

Great blog Theo. You're putting out a huge volume of stuff and it looks good too. The cat part is very relatable to me, my kitten is learning from my old cat to play with the warhammers to get attention from me. It works every time, it's their favored way of waking me up if I'm sleeping in.

I love the Core Space terrain, but I can see how it would be a pain to reconfigure it all the time. You might want to check your pictures; one of them is duplicated (I expect you meant to show off your mobile painting station).

Well so far no more casualties, I think it might have been me setting the temp painting area in the window and the cats all wanted space, killed the Khorne guys in a turf war.

Yep, I did duplicate a picture

Travel paint set. I know I have foam downstairs somewhere that I can put in for the models.

In the mean time, I have started and almost finished my Dwarf team the Mountains Dudes.

Will try to finish off my Khorne team tomorrow, though I might buy a second team to fill out the positions, replace losses and get more Reroll and turn counters.

After that I will repaint my chaos Chosen team (as Khorne) and then paint up my Ork Nd Black Orc teams in the same pattern as well with both Varag Ghoul Chewer and a troll for allies.

Still have a Skaven, Dark Elf and a human team with an ogre to paint too.

Played Heat:pedal to the metal again today, loads of fun. Also played a card game called the Crew (space version), not as much fun, would rather have just played pitch, gin or rummy. But discussed Blood Bowl and have got some excitement going on with it.

I only watch football when it's on at someone's house. Real players play Blood Bowl

No doctor in the office today, so I have a pretty quiet day. Brought the painting box and my Black Orc team to repaint. Primed them last night.

6 Goblin Bruisers, 6 Black Orcs, Varag Ghoul Chewer, a trained troll, an AOS Orruk Warchanter and a 3d printed Orc Rocker.

too up close and personal pic of Goblin Bruiser flesh

Blood Bowl Excitement is growing at our local shop (Miniature Market). reconnecting with old friends who we played against 20+ years ago and talks of a league in March. In the mean time, more painting.

Where I left off with the Black Orcs. Wish I would have done Blue or Black for the armor .

Went last night to MM to grab another Khorne set since my cats annihilated my other set. While there I decided to pick up the Khorne Pitch, which GW failed to grab the low hanging fruit by calling it the Khorne Field

So you start the game on the skulls side of the pitch, and every time a block is thrown (including a blitz), you roll a D6, on a 5+ the block gets +1 to the strength. Before kickoff, if there are 3 or more total casualties, you flip the pitch over as Khorne rains blood down on everyone. It makes it all slick, so if you get pushed back from a block, you roll a D6, on a 1 you get knocked down after the push back. Khorne loves his blood.

Assembled, and primed the new guys. Slow day at work today with the main doctor out, so they are half done now. I decided to prime them and then do the white last layer using my actual drybrushes instead of a heavy layer with just a big brush. Glad I did, the details really come out much better.

More later.

Well, Khorne is all rage, Bluster and Screaming, at least in Blood Bowl . I played 2 games with the Khorne team and even though every block is 2 dice in my favor I got hosed in both games. Multiple Khorne casualties.....that would be my team suffering the casualties and the Amazons were fine. Having no offensive skills is bad.

So looks like I will be switching to Dwarves for the league we are starting up in a couple months. But not the current Dwarves , even though I painted them all up, I still very much dislike their visual style. Back to the true Dwarves of Norse decent.

I found 2 teams worth of metal Dwarves in the basement, I'm sure I have a fully painted dwarf team on resin bases somewhere else still, but these were mainly unpainted.

The team: The East/West Face Slayers will be based off of the Key & Peele East/West coast bowl game sketch. All players names are shamelessly stolen from there as I just can't wait to say my troll slayer "Hingle McCringleberry frenzy's another player off the pitch."

Well, 3 of the 4 possible positionals all have Frenzy. Which lets you throw an additional block if you push them back the first time. It really is a trap though as you can get pulled out of position easily if you throw those blocks. In experienced teams where you have gotten block on your models it will be fantastic, but having high strength doesn't increase your chances in this game. As stated before Blood Bowl is the game where if you have a 2+ chance on a D6 of success, you will fail 90% of the time.

Started repainting my Chaos Chosen again. Still at the 3 layer primed stage, but should get colors onto it tonight. I might use my BloodSeekers as the Chaos Warriors and have it be a Chosen of Khorne Team. The difference in the teams are:

Khorne Blood Bowl team
0-1 BloodSpawn
0-4 Blood Seekers
0-4 Khorngors
0-???(Probably 16) Bloodborne Marauders

Chaos Chosen (Of Khorne)
0-16 Chaos Beastmen linemen
0-4 Chaos Warriors
and one of the following
0-1 Chaos Troll
0-1 Chaos Minotaur
0-1 Chaos Ogre

I guess I could use the Khorngors as beastmen linemen too

Still probably going to do Dwarves.
