Thought of something no one seems to make, a bride and a groom.

Reaper has these Victorians who would work but a bride and groom, or even a whole wedding party could sell.

More of a Bones/Siocast type thing but I had an idea for a conversion and realized no one makes this.

It could sell for gamer weddings too!

I'd honestly just like to see some more plastic characters. A plastic Thunderhawk would be nice but let's face it; it'll likely cost more than the average player can afford and will be too expensive in points to see much use.

GW stuff

Necromunda style sprues for various IG regiments. Give each regiment 2 builds, a standard 10 man, 1 special, 1 heavy squad, and a unique vet squad suitable for the regiment. Tallarn sappers, Valhallan snipers, Catachan devils, Steel Legion trench raiders etc.

Imperial Guard Jeep - Fast light vehicle, 1 heavy weapon, carries 6 guys. A lot more useful and adds more to the army than the Light Baneblade or Heavy Leman Russ

Imperial Guard Truck - troop truck, carries 20 guys or cargo. I guess the Cargo 8 does this?

Thunderbolt/Lightning/Avenger kit. It can be done! Look at the Dakkajet, this can work!

Inquisitor and hench freaks - 10 bodies, different designs, a servitor, a cloak dude, a tactical armor dude, an ornate armor dude, a robe dude, and enough interchangeable arms to make anything you can imagine. Oh and rules too.

Imperial Citizens - mix of robes and jumpsuits, mix of tools and weapons. Yeah Stargrave does this, as does Medge Broken but I'd love to see a 40k take on the idea. The Necromunda Outcasts is close to this, but the mix of men and women and the limit of only 1 half sprue (4 bodies) made it less useful than I would like.

Servitors - Just a mess of plastic servitors with claw or heavy weapon options. Add them to the Adeptus Mech army as a hoard unit.

Adeptus Arbties - What do you mean already happening?!

Have you seen the modular space station kit for Dropfleet Commander? With a bit of creative assembly, they could also make slower than light torch ships. They are heavily greebled in parts to show the scale.

There's the Crew set for FG: Ghost Archipelago. I've used SG parts and Northstar's resin Sci-fi Cultists bits to make them into Sci-fi pirates or crew. If you have the core Stargrave rulebook, the turban heads on some of the figures are from that kit.

GW's cyber zombie servitors are fairly unique but a modular plastic sprue of classic cyborgs would be welcome as well.

And modular robots too.

Medge has some nice drones if anyone wants those.

Sadly GW seems to be going to monopose figures that a player can only do so much.

I was looking forward to the Cadians and Kasrkin, but so much of the detail stuff is sculpted onto the figures. Especially backpacks.

The days of converting GW figs look to be over.

Non humanoid aliens like the G'kek or puppeteers.

Furniture.

You know what I could really use though - plastic hills. I've been trying to find those for ages.

The only hills in plastic I saw there https://gamefound.com/projects/archon-studio/encounters (look for the elven woods) but no idea when they will be available in retail.

I'd some more stackable terrain, like hills, bunkers, buildings etc.

Vac-molded simple shapes the you can stack up like plastic containers when you're done.

Someone get on that.

Try Monster Fight Club
https://www.monsterfightclub.com/shop?Collection=Monster+Scenery There's painted and unpainted. Have not bought any hills, and the ice crystals while larger than expected are not transparent as shown. Not really translucent either, but that may be due to their size. There's a hint of translucency around the edges, and the plastic does not have the flat look it would if cast from opaque plastic.

As for furniture.

Mutants - Talking about the old Lost and the Damned list makes me think there would be a market for tentacled, slimy mutants similar to the old GW mutation sprue. Especially if they had some properly twisted bodies in there that could take a head or leg or tail anywhere. Sure some of this can be done with kitbashing, Frost/Star Grave has some nice alien heads and some lizardmen and gnolls, but a proper mutant sprue with properly ramshackle weapons would be ace.

80s Cyberpunks - "Hoi chummer, that's a nice cyberarm you got there, a Gottlieb 6000 no? Integrated shotgun in the forearm and titanium finger razors. Course that ain't nothing next to my Hiromichi 4X Gold with 40 megavolt taser knuckles and 200 PSI grip you scan? Cost me 4 million NuYen in Chiba. You mess with me you get see why JapTech is top deck." So yeah, mohawks, cyber arms, leather jackets smart guns, impractical cyber limbs, the whole thing.

Totally Original Predatory Aliens - With death frisbees, shoulder cannons, pole arms, and of course molded in clear plastic.

In no particular order:

Licensed:

I'd love to see someone publish Deadspace necromorphs in plastic. I find it odd that official Deadspace miniatures still haven't happened. McVey's Strain were even better necro-futuristic designs with their biomechanical element, but that line is truly dead, and Deadspace has renewed name recognition with the remake of the first video game out now and apparently doing very well.

Hard plastic classic Cylons.

Hard plastic Cybermen. Good ones that aren't dwarfed by 40K figures.

Hard plastic Cylonbermen. Just 'cause.

Unlicensed:

Hard plastic sci-fi civilians, without guns!! After all these years it still feels like a lost cause, but also an obvious missed opportunity. 40K aesthetic is fine, and so is more streamlined generic sci-fi styling. Anything.

Sci-fi mutant sprue, yes, but a generous and well-designed one, with emphasis on modularity. (Who needs a skimpy mutant sprue with, say, crab-claw arm, tentacle arm, huge muscley arm, and that's it? Without a wide variety of bizarre options to differentiate them, mutants look less like random genetic spawn and more like a distinct race with repeating features.)

Modular robots. Yes, Maelstrom's Edge already makes some, and they're good. And?? How is more not better? Let's have more companies throw their hat in that ring and we can kitbash'em all together, say I.

Speaking of Maelstrom's Edge, I'm a bit torn. I'd love to see them release biomorphic Kaigus Pact hard plastics, but if they've decided that more hard plastics aren't financially workable, I respect that and wish them the best anyhow. (Having said that, my personal interest in purchasing STL files remains nil.)

Finally, more modular hard-plastic aliens, the weirder, the better. I personally prefer non-humanoid types over Star Trek heads on otherwise human bodies, but as always, the "rule of looking cool" is the ultimate arbiter of what gets purchased. If your aliens look half-baked design-wise, maybe that's the reason they aren't performing for you.

What do I actually expect to see published this year, in polystyrene, from my list above?

Nothing.

What I do expect is to see smaller companies trying to sell many more STLs to a stubbornly small audience, and releasing fewer and fewer polystyrene kits. The economic realities powering that tectonic shift are understandable and I'm sure reasonable for the publishers' bottom lines, but I'm not a charity, I'm a consumer. And one thing to keep in mind is that everyone and their grandmother can release STLs, and it's already a crowded field. Why should anyone buy your space poodlemen STLs when there are seven better digital model lines of them already available, being sold cheaper? Your polystyrene space colonial troopers might not look as good or come with as many options as 19-year-old college dropout Hobodarkness99's STL versions, but for the time being, many people will still prefer to buy your physical kit over the digital alternatives. Make that hay while you can.

More?

MORE!

Acolyes - Minor priests or spell casters, armed with staves, wands, amulets, books, scrolls and the like. Mysterious hoods of course. Paint them white and gold for good guys, black and red for evil. Similar to the FG wizards but more uniform. Basically the flunkies for the boss priest/wizard/demon.

Ninjas - Why do we not have modular ninjas yet? With ball-joints on the arms and legs, and katanas, and bo staves, and nunchucks, and shuriken, and all that?

Space Ninjas - Like regular ninjas but in space. With laser katanas, and sonic shuriken and all that.

Guys in Suits with Guns - I would also accept Guys with Guns in Suits. Are they FBI? Secret Service? Mafia? Yakuza (I'll need katanas)? Or just a particularly self-defense minded group of investment bankers? Uzis, briefcases, sniper rifle, silenced pistols, sun glasses, briefcases, phones, laptop, open briefcase with an uzi... And then a female version.

Security Guards Guarding - WGA (I think) just did a WWII German Sentry kit and that's sort of what I'm thinking of but more generic and less uh, Nazi. Guys sitting, guys leaning, guys walking. Reading the paper, looking at their phones, eating doughnuts, drinking coffee... Throw a doggie on the sprue and you've got a seller. The Germans might work with a head swap.

Those would be sweet. If they had a hand weapons option they could double as cultists/assassins.

There's an astonishing lack of civilians in general, both for current-day and near-future/scifi games.

In spirit of the thread:

- Current day or near-future refugees/civilians, you know, mix of men/women/children, variety of clothes, bundles, backpacks, the odd household animal or pet, maybe a handcart or a bike.

- In the same vein, vehicles for the above, a couple of not quite ramshackle busses, Toyotas, overloaded pickups full of bits and bobs someone took the effort to take with them

Frost Grave has some pretty sweet Cultists already, I see these as the more clean cut version. Cathedrals and Temples, rather than sewers and caves. Maybe for a second build more quills and books and scrolls so they can be scribes.

I always liked the lil guy that came with the GW astrolabe wagon thing, all hunched over with his armfuls of scrolls.

With puddle bases which I hate with a passion. WGA already are aware (from the disscussion in their thread) about people's dislike for those bases so maybe they or Fireforge will make those plastic reality.
