For me almost everything is in the storage.
I will try ether team of sqats or Ungrim him self.

If I am lucky, something will be done by end of this month.

Proofs: No time to strip, will just paint over the oil paint.

Or, will be diving into the squad.

Heating up the molds

Wanted to make 3 more lads and test this Japanese-toy / molding putty.

Hi All

Time I got my model going, found this on ebay the other month and thought it looked cool, was going to add more to it as a bigger conversion in the future but it seemed perfect for this challenge so going with it and will focus on the painting for once.

An Ork Warboss conversion

It looks smashing, boxart level but you should know that there is a image limit for entries. (I thought it was 5 but Nevelon posted 6 last time so I think its 6 now.)

It’s been 6 for a while now. When first added it was 5. We raised it to 6 to match the 5 model count limit, so you could have a pic of each mini plus a group shot.

Running an internal debate. Whether to follow my original inclination and paint some (sightly modified) catachan soldiers, or to finish a model or three for my army and paint some really big guns.
I'll probably end up trying to do both and finish neither.

I have a game next weekend, so maybe I'll work on the Broadsides this week. Try to get them done or mostly done for the table. Then I'll start the Catachan next week, and that'll leave me the final week to decide and finish whichever stands out.

Bit of progress on Hulk's base:

I added a Sentinel hand painted up as a bit of Hulkbuster for colour and variety. Should pop against all the green

Calling him done: the Immortal Hulk!

Check out those guns Along with Hulkbuster hand , there's also a wee pistol hidden on the base to complete the "gun" show.

Well, seem to have opposite of last month's problem where I procrastinated for so long and went and got most of it done in 2 days,.. then sat around for a few weeks and all my wet palette paint dried..
So, went for more cartoonish style, hence the major blacklining. Again- this sculpt lends itself to that, because the proportions are no where near real-life! I Also remember some of the things of metal minis I hate so much: You can never straighten out something 100%!! Oh well- can't think of any more damage to do here (that's a lie- I am an artist, after all..)

Wow, there's been a lot of nice progress and completion by you guys the last few days.

I'm really busy, and progress is slow, so I'm not too sure I will finish in time. I have started building the master for the wheels for the Earthshaker cannon, and worked a little more on the barrel. The wheel is 35mm across.

Here's my proof - since it seems like noone is painting Hellblasters, I may as well "double down on the theme and paint some guns that shoot suns!"

Warning: These marines haven't figured out what "Hazardous" means yet...

The month is half over. After taking a week long break to mentally prepare myself for the fun to come, I started painting teeny tiny splotches on the uniform today. Strictly speaking painting the camo pattern isn't hard, but it's definitely something I want to be in the mood for.

Hopefully I'll wrap up the uniform over the weekend. From there is should be a breeze to finish the whole model.

Primarchs were meant to be some of the biggest guns created by the Emperor.

With that in mind, for my first Dakka Painting Challenge I've picked Lorgar, Primarch of the Word Bearers.

Proof images of body and parts (note that I won't be painting the diorama part at this time, only Lorgar himself):

P.S. I'm not sure how to reduce the size of the images so they fit in a single page nicely, hense using spoilers to avoid causing a mess.

Slowed down a bit, a lot of work on the individual Orks, still have to add detail (like the actual camo) onto them, also just started to add the green layer on the vehicle itself, which also will need camo ofcourse.. and haven't gotten to the interior yet either let alone the base.. a short 2 weeks to go and feeling a bit faceslapped by the weather (and a bad dinner, having had falavel for the first time in like 5 years ..probably a case of light food poisoning.. just not feeling that well) and a busy end of month with loads of appointments -_-..

I hope I can get this one done in time and will have to skip atleast a month after to get back up again.

Good progress everyone!

Just a reminder that we are about 2/3rds done here, so plan accordingly.

Next month there is no vote, as it will be the annual Halloween Special. Spooks, spirits, ghost, goblins, monsters, kids dressed up, trick-or-treating. Pumpkins and changing leaves. So if you need to source parts or start build (but no paint yet) get thinking about that.
