It's VERY DC for sure. No clue how all these moving parts are going to work out, but even when Gunn misses, its rarely by much. First thing from DC I've had any faith in in a long long time.

My guess is what’s in the trailer is an early on “highlights reel”, to establish that this Superman has been around for a decent while, has built up a reputation. And the crowd lobbing things at him (which is pointless, as he wouldn’t feel it) are a sign that at some point, he’s screwed up or failed in some way, and public opinion might be about to turn. Possibly by Luther’s meddling.
Just a guess though.

I've seen some interesting guesses. Personally, I'm leaning towards the Kingdom Come angle. People are behind newer, edgier heroes whose methods he doesn't agree with. Definitely a bit of "What's so Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way?" going on here and with the Authority on the slate, I can see that tying together nicely.
A Who's Who breakdown of the trailer. I didn't see anything particularly spoilery, but if you'd rather go into the film with a clean slate, it might be better to skip the video.

Superman is one of my least favourite superheroes, but there's a lot to like about what they've shown so far. I'm at least curious to see what Gunn does with the character. My only real concern is that there is a lot crammed into that teaser for one movie.

I mean... guy garners bowl cut hair is bad in the comics when it's on a much younger man. But this is 53 year old Nathan Fillion wearing the most atrocious wig ever committed to film.
It immediately made me think of this fething guy.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
He's supposed to be guy gardner right? I swear, since his weird ballsack meat armour that he was in for GotG3 as part of those weird security guys, James Gunn is probably having a bet of how far he can get in putting Nathan Fillion is ridiculous costumes lol.

Yeah, it really does feel like they went out of their way to make it look bad. I feel like it's a dollar store quality one that they could have done better with.

Isabel Merced is listed as playing Hawkgirl so unless Gunn is scheming, I'd assume they're both not cosplayers.
She's a weird choice for Hawkgirl. Hawkgirl seems like more of a bruiser/warrior archetype to me and a 5'1" actress does not fit at all.

Jason Momoa, star of Warner Bros and DC‘s Aquaman films, has been tapped to play Lobo in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Deadline has confirmed.
Momoa has been linked to the Lobo role since before James Gunn came in to lead DC alongside Peter Safran. He’s been vocal in the past about his interest in the part and today confirmed his attachment to the role in a post on Instagram, where he screenshotted comments from a past interview.
Plot details for the new Supergirl are under wraps. As previously reported, House of the Dragon‘s Milly Alcock landed the title role after a long search, with Matthias Schoenaerts boarding as villain Krem of the Yellow Hill. More recently, Eve Ridley came on to play the part of Ruthye Mary Knolle.
Craig Gillespie will direct from a script by Ana Nogueira. The project is based on Tom King’s 2022 comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which Bilquis Evely illustrated. DC bosses Gunn and Safran will produce, with DC EVP Chantal Nong executive producing. Production kicks off on January 13.

Visuals are stunning and the Justice League International era they seem to be aiming for has a huge place in my heart, but I don't like Krypto and I thought the robot dialogue scene was poor and not very funny.
I do trust Gunn so I will see this in the cinema but I'm skeptical.

I'm afraid Gunn will try to be too funny... the mirror-universe of Zack Snyder.
