Its a nickname. its what my mate used to say years ago, as in where he is from he used to say whats happening beef to everybody. its used to piss me off so he just used it for me and it stuck. What the hell does that mean? I recognize those words, but they have been pieced together in such a way that looking at them gives me a headache. Now, I don't werk the english laungage good either, but dang man! I haven't seen the davinci code yet, but that's what I imagine as I look at this. It must mean something, but what?

BTW, "Beef", one of the things that makes Dakka Dakka so awesome is that it puts a good deal of humor and levity into something far, far too many people take seriously. I mean, we're on a discussion site about collecting and pushing around toy soldiers by adults.

it was just one of those stupid phrase like whats up dude or whats happening homie and was up beef?  it was like 10 years ago and it stuck cos this guy would always ring when i was asleep and shout down the phone "was up beef?" to which i would threaten to go to his house and kill his whole family if he woke me up again.  I used to sleep after college as chasing girls was very tiring for me as they were very fast runners/

Ah hah, quite right. Tis indeed difficult to translate sarcasm well when written by anybody and you're predeliction for mangling the englis language certainly doesn't help!

If the primarch are indeed based on the village people then it makes even more sence that my marines are FEERLESS. Yes we English do pride ourselves on language but unfortunatly they dont teach us to spell or use grammer in school properly anymore so its a dying art.
