Can't stand FireFox? But, it's just so sweet. And it has such a whitty slogan jacked from that God-forsaken Matrix sequel: "The Browser. Reloaded."

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

That's funny, because I can't stand mouse gestures. Besides, even if you want to use them, there are any number of extensions which add them to Firefox. Try a few of them out and see if there are any that work for you. A quick search of the extension download site uncovered these:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/39/
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/12/
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/29/

  • Better login remembering.  This should be pretty much fixed now, after today at noon EST.  You may need to clear your cookies one last time, but try just logging out and loggin in first.
  • Editing posts:  This long time problem is resolved.  Editing posts with images and/or links should now work as expected.  Quotes are still a little wierd, but minor.

Happy posting, and let me know if you have any problems/issues,

Russ Wakelin

Thanks for the effort.  The new Post/Edit stuff works *much* better.

Not the same, Davian.

I like Firefox.  I recommend it to just about everyone, and have loaded it onto all the office computers.  But I don't use it myself - Opera loads faster, has more integrated quick little keyboard shortcuts that I like, and a better and faster gestures system.

Dakka is the only site I frequent that doesn't play nice.  I wish I knew why - it definitely cuts down on my contributions here, as it's rarely so important to warrant launching another browser.

Quick reply is working now, though, which merits a huge 'YAY!!"

I've tried to like Opera, it has some good ideas. But it doesn't play nice with some of my favorite sites... like G-mail. You can have my g-mail when you can pry it from my cold, dead hands.

I occasionally get "service Unavailable" when going through this site at home (wireless connection). It is not location specific, as when I go to work and check this site, I get the same errors from time to time (non-wireless). It happens mostly after I reply to a post.

I dont get it when going anywhere else.

I use firefox.

I'm getting the same "Service Unavailable" messages El Furia mentions. Also Firefox, but I'm in Virginia rather than Montana!

Refreshing the page (ie: pressing F5) a few times usually takes care of it. I'd also like to add that it is seemingly random, as I often open multiple tabs often several will get the aforementioned "Service Unavailable" message, and not necessarily in sequence or in any noticable group.

Ditto to Nyarly's comment.
