PM sent to Monkeytroll, hopefully I made it before he logged in this morning. I wasn't able to finish painting, but got a decent amount done...could do with a bit more detailing and some weathering/rust/flaking paint...

Great line up, awesome pieces on display there, people!

As for the tittle, Electro-Fence sounds good enough, Thanks! Actually, I was between that and "Don't Whiz on the Electric Fence", but decided to take the safest road...

Cheers, and good luck with the judging!

PS: People's Choice vote will be on it's way soon, need to ponder some more.

It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. Great job everyone. What a turn out! Quality and quantity together. Glad I'm not judging this round (far too much writing would be involved) although sad I didn't even get started on my own piece.

Just a quick comment for each of you as I've not been terribly helpful during:
Tek Thornison: Nice carving work. Impressive tower, almost too impressive compared to the walls...

Andy_T: Great use of the razors. Maybe a bit more colour to break up the metal.

Magos: Nice work, like all the little details. Maybe a bit of plant-life could have been added with all that fertile soil about.

Red: Great build and design. Walls could have been individualised a bit more (posters, graffiti etc...).

trollmeat: Nice grubby, industrial look to them. Like the use of the Space Crusade board for the pic's too.

Llamahead: Good effort considering the size and scale. Difficult to think of what can be added at that scale, maybe some dirt tracks to show where the grass has been worn away.

OMN: Nice build and a for using a toilet. The dirt could be more dirty looking.

Cam: Good level of detail as I've come to expect from you. Keep working on what you're working on.

LT: Good use of something I didn't know existed, very effective. We've already covered the teeny-tiny gap in the fence.

GrimDork: Nice builds and good use of posters and blood. Could do with some dirt/litter in the corners.

EyeamRai: Nice idea to get organic shapes and love the colour. Could do with something to make it look dangerous (remnants of dead beings).

Vik: Good solid build. The plants work well. Keep heading in the direction you're going.

mekugi: Like the plastered brickwork look and the overgrown path. Keep doing that.

Fango: Nice builds. Coloured sheets could have done with weathering to match the grey ones.

Good luck to you all.

Thanks Dr H. I attacked the bases with a little weathering powder but didn't get far due to time constraints. Some scattered trash would also be nice, I'll probably make a batch at some point and touch up several terrain pieces at once.

Yeah, that was the plan. I started painting the night they were due...I'm actually impressed I got as far as I did.

So yeah, there will be more grime, nicks, dents, chipped paint, and weathering done to the rest of the panels...as well as some underhive graffiti. Anyone have any good references for Necromunda themed graffiti?

Excellent feedback Doc, but...

...Yes and no. Individualization would be nice, but not with posters or grafitti. That would be rather out of theme. Tilework, mosaics or geometric patterns-- Someone suggested Moroccan tile patterns-- would be fitting. Alas, no time to do them. But I will be experimenting, be sure of that

Ok, so with only minor back and forth my esteemed colleague inmygravenimage and myself have reached a decision and have the top three places locked down.

Grim' & Fango: Yeah, I think many a time in these competitions it's time running out that gets people.

Not a prob' Magos.

Yeah, I'm with you there, Red. I realise that all your terrain lacks posters and graffiti on purpose. I had a mental block as to what could be added and wanted to distinguish what I meant for individualisation. Something to add a bit of colour, rather than shapes.

Go MT Go.

OK, I guess I'll let you in on it......

So it was indeed a very close run thing, there was some minor discussion about the top spots, but in the end there were ony 2 points separating 1st place from 3rd place.

Excellent work by all, and nice to see a variety of systems being represented.

Drum roll please......

In first place we give you :

OneManNoodles and The Thin Verdigris Line

In second place we give you:

Red Harvest and The Coral Corral

In third place we give you:

Camkierhi and his orkified walls

Votes for People's Choice were pretty varied, with a good number of you getting votes, but in the end there was a clear winner:

LittleTower and his amazing Electro-Fence of lighty-uppy goodness

Congratulations to all who entered, great to see so much terrain getting added to people's collections, looking forward to seeing you all in future events

And obviously a hearty round of applause for our nominated winners, I'll be getting prize packs put together for three of you in the next couple of weeks.

LittleTower, you get to bathe in the warm fuzzy feeling you get from the respect and recognition of your peers

OneManNoodles, you get the honour of deciding what a whole bunch of crazy people are going to be playing with on their worktables next

I'll try to form my notes on all your entries into some kind of cohesive form and get those posted tomorrow.

Thank you all

Congratulations to the winners, and well done everyone.

I'll have to try and incorporate a fence/wall into the next piece... and hope I get that done (started) so that I don't feel the need to incorporate both into the following round...

Look forward to what the next round will be.
