I'll check whatever it says on the package tonight. It's in a plastic bag, stapled with a cardboard closer/header.

I've bought a whole bunch and made 3 rhinos, a razorback, a whirlwind and a predator so far.

Surpised there hasn't been a mention of Tehnolog. It's a russian game company that hasn't been shy about ripping off certain popular IPs including the scale. They are also a great source of 288 scale terrain if you don't mind the long wait for shipping from Russia

It says made in China, and looks like it was bought by a canadian distibutor to sell to dollar stores. Toy Galaxy out of Richmond hill, but their website is down.

I have some of those Russian figures, the Mechs. They make great IG vehicles/custom Mechs/BT mechs at 28mm. A bit plain on the detail side, but easy enough to spruce up.

I'm a big fan of Tehnolog. Recently ordered the "Iron Curtain" terrain set, which somehow reminds me of X-com: Terror From the Deep alien architecture.

Next time it'll be their 10mm tank line to be used for Gaslands weapons and tracked car conversions.

I know I have been banging on about nano Metal Figs, but I actually painted a few more up.

My local Big Box retailer does not seem to have them anymore, so I wonder if they are no longer being produced?

This is not a request thread, I know, but so far I just couldn't find cheap wheels to turn a Taurox into an Ork dragster of sorts. Front wheels are easy, the deffkilla wartrike back wheels. But for the Taurox backside everything is either to small and narrow to give it a hunched look with a raised rear or wayyy too big. Coz the stupid thing is tiny and won't even work as an enclosed trukk for a 5 man Kommandoz kill team :/

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Great work on those! Really elevates them.
They are definitely still being produced. My local Walmart got a new batch in recently and some Superhero (DC I think) examples showed up at Dollar Tree.

Of interest to wargamers will be that there are two new 5-packs of Walking Dead figs and 2 new 5 packs of Harry Potter. Also Minecraft and some new superhero figs I think.

Do you have plenty of 1/43 and 1/48 die cast for your heroes to battle over and around? Menards and Wal-Mart have quite a few in the 3-5 buck range right now. Also I'm about to downsize my collection. PM if interested.

It has been mentioned, but always a good reminder. I've got a review of their tanks and some size comparison with some of the more common Robogear/Tehnolog mechs here: https://www.chicagoskirmishwargames.com/blog/?s=robogear

I shared this a long time ago, but I used Tehnolog tracks for my post-apoc TukTuk.

The tank seems to be pretty popular, but how does the rest of the tehnolog robogear line hold up? I'm seriously considering buying an assortment as a christmas gift to myself, but if some are better than others then the "one of each!" approach I had in my cart the other day might not be the best .

P.S. I'm not necessarily planning to build them as-is, but rather use them as bits-bin fodder for putting together a mechanized ork army.

They're all good. For orks I'd focus on the buggy and the thing with triangular tracks (Varan I think). For imperials, the walker and flyer with the angular cabin (Trex and Hornet IIRC)

Tanks and aircraft are the best, especially newer ones like the Condor or Bronekorpus variants. The walkers can be improved with a lot of work, but the main bodies are pretty much potatoes.

I bought a few of these:

and 100 of these:

I will report back when they show up - using both for terrain

I got my Chinese trucks and APCs in.

The ambulance is a perfect size for a 40k van/truck/utility vehicle holding 6 people or so.

The APC is a bit small but could pass for a low-end Rhino/Chimera equivalent.

It's about the length of a Chimera but a bit thinner and shorter.

And certainly both will look fine buried in rubble, tipped on their sides or otherwise turned into scatter terrain. Even parked they'd work fine, blocking LOS to models and shielding tanks.

Silly question, but does anyone know of a place to get blank Weebles, or not-Weebles that are cheap enough to paint over?

I just saw a dungeon PDF that someone had printed out as a PVC banner, and suddenly I had a mental image of Weeble adventurers on a Weeble dungeon crawl, fighting Weeble monsters to gain Weeble treasures....

And, considering that we picked up a Weeble Haunted House for our little girl as 'her first dungeon crawl', it seems a natural progression.

We are molding her little mind - the world needs more moldy little minds!

Thanks for posting those. The APC looks a bit small next to 40k figs, but I bet it's near spot-on for historical 28mm. APC's are usually shockingly cramped and much smaller than one would suspect.

Here's the same APC. I did a search for -I kid you not- "Children's Armored Transport" and they were the first thing to pop up.

Looks like there's also a transport truck that appears to be a slightly better sized version of what you showed earlier.

Lastly, the Ambulance trucks and a few other versions of the same truck are on sale for 3.88 shipped!

Some of you may know that I had a large (and pretty awesome) collection of Green Army Men. I use them to play some games from time to time:

https://bloodandspectacles.blogspot.com/2018/03/wargame-design-green-army-men-plastic.html

However, in a recent move the shippers lost my big tin of Green Army Men so I need to replace them. I am loathe to buy them online blind since so many of them are just really cheap. I want a slightly better quality.

Do any of you guys have the name of a decent manufacturer I can order from online that makes a decent quality Green Army Man, preferable the Vietnam or WWII ones.

Sorry to hear about that. Here's a few options.

-The original and best manufacturer of the Vietnam army men, M48 tanks, and other classics is probably "Tim Mee Toys". You can find them on Amazon. They cost a bit more but they're made in the USA and almost all of the vietnam figs that aren't Tim Mee are knock-offs and likely lower quality.
-If you're interested in WW2, there's a bucket of 4 types of WW2 troops that's also fairly common on Amazon. The quality of the figs isn't quite what it was back in the day, but you get US, British, German and Japanese troops in one pack.
-If you have any interest in Sci-fi figures, Walmart has the "The Corps" army men pack/bucket back in stock. The figs and accessories are in a Starship Troopers (movie) style, quite good and the price is certainly right. I reviewed them here: https://www.chicagoskirmishwargames.com/blog/2017/11/01/cheap-28mm-suitable-terrain-from-the-corps-elite/
-If you need some cheapies to tide you over, Dollar Tree just got in a WW2'ish pack. I think it's worth it for the knock-off M-48 it includes which is worth the buck itself.

If you're interested in the Green army men from Toy Story which were quite well done I may have a bag of them. Also got some tanks and other Plastic Army men in my to-sell bin, shoot me a PM if you're interested. I don't have a ton of figures but I've got ALOT of the army man accessories that I had at one time intended for wargame use.
