Maste, RiTides
Glad to see your still around. Are by chance joining us this year?

Last year we had a couple of KF sessions, this year i'm thinking of adding a least one more session We are also olanning on doing a little more 40k within our group this year.Hopefully folks will be bringing some lists to play.

I hope you can make it.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
On a personal note I haven't done much in the way of my own stuff. Gunther sons have just got into 40k and one plays Death Guard. He has picked up a bunch of figures but is not used to playing. He's missing transports. I had a couple of Rhinos and a Land Raider on the shelf so I got a bunch of green stuf and nurlfied them.

I don't have any pic's as I sent them off to him already so you'll have to wait till Adepticon. Learned lot about sculpting (at least Nurgle stuff) Couple of other things I'm going to give him as well to help him out.. A Helldrake and a Defiler.

Then On to my Nids and Necrons for Adepticon.

I should have some new AdMech for Adepticon at a mimumum. Best case scenario would be a new Iyanden wraith army.

Adepticon registration is on. Like always things fill up fast. The 3 Knight Fight events are full in under 6 hrs. Awesome.

Then us wardens who are attending do Knight Fight for ourselves on Saturday.

More work on the display board and some new adjustments to the rules. More to come.

I'm so happy for you SL. You've worked really hard on the Knight Fight and it's great to see you have such success!

Updating rules and Knight data sheets. Adding some randomness.

This year I'm hoping to have a banner made and medals for the winners.

Finished updating the data sheet with the new chapter approved updates.

Revised the rules. I'm planning on going back to a random order draw. Last year's biggest critique was the turn order never changing. If you got a earlier draw you had an advantage all game. It made for predictable outcomes.

Another change is a Knight once killed will now be able to enter the next turn from any of their teams half of the table. Back or side. This should help eliminate a turn wasted just getting to the fight.

Lastly I tweaked some of the knights to help balance. Nothing gamechanging.

Getting closer. 7 weekends till Adepticon. This year I will be using the buildings from last year. Next year I'll be frantically building a new board using the 'Rampart' cathedral terrain. I have heavily invested in it so I will be building all fall and winter.

The Kickstarter is over but you can see the the look I'm going for by visiting ' kickstarter.com/projects/archonstudios/rampart-stylish-and-modular-terrain/description '

I've gone with the Eternal Cathedral set.

Been a tough year. Adepticon 2020 cancelled, now 2021 cancelled.

So I'm using my time to get more painted in-between the essential worker work load and adjusting to the new norm.

With all the bad news I finally got some good. My Rampart kickstarter pledge finally arrived at my house. Got a lot of kits. Two of the group pledges and some extras.

What's cool is with such a large order, I got a lot of stretch goals extras. What I didn't realize was one of the stretch goals was the tank. Now I originally thought I'd get 1 or 2 cause I'd ordered two pledges. Nope. I have 10 tanks. Fate telling me to build and IG Tank company list?

Still looking forward to getting the new kits opened and starting on replacing the old MDF buildings for a less modern and more gothic look. I plan to incorporate some elements of the standard GW terrain kits and some homemade peices as well. I'm looking for a lot more unique looking structures connected with pipes, statury and an Imperial warzone feel than the block structures I used last time.

Construction should start early next year and with the kits being so modular I'll be able to play with the overall design in more in order to make it playable and look grimdark appropriate.

Looking forward to a better year. Here is my terrain supply drop...

Thanks Ice. Big project indeed. Going to try and give this one the attention it deserves. I plan to be using this a lot of years to come.

It looks like you are getting ready for some full-scale urban renewal! Good luck, I can't wait to see the results.

Blog refresh...

With Last Several Adepticons being cancelled, I put off the reinvention of the Knight Fight Board. The old Board was mostly MDF terrain and though it served its general need it was not the Grim Dark looking board I thought it could be. So I went all out on the Rampart Kickstarter and bought 2 large pledges. You can see the haul in a few posts up. This year represents a new opportunity for me to get this project under way. Starting in November I will have a lot more free time so I will dive into it.

So I have 20 Cathedral Boxes. Hopefully this will allow me to complete a 6 ft buy 8 ft board with enough movement lanes as the original board. This time I also plan to build up, create walkways between building, add in 40k elements from the standard terrain kits. I think I will go for a more lighter concrete color theme. Here is the Mat that I'm looking to start with. Too industral ? What color do you think I should paint the buildings ?

Since I will be working way less, I will be posting progress a lot more. In a way showing progress as it happens.

Spent a little time reminiscing on Knight Fights past. Started in 2017 on a table we rented.

Atrapos vs. Atrapos. Ritides and Mine.

Hopefully everything will go well this year. I have a 2 room, 2 bed suite at the Embassy Suites (duh). Spending a TON on the hotel room, but hopefully a) they don't cancel the event, b) at least one boy is able to join me and c) we get some games in at the hotel atrium or in the room.

I think I'll be running a Bushido tournament one day (hopefully Friday), but other than that I should be pretty wide-open for pick-up games.

Plan on bringing several armies in 500 point increments. Might be really fun to do an event-only Crusade between everyone in the group. Start at 25PL (500 points) so games go fast & we have lots of opportunity to earn experience points, then each successive game grows by X power level (10 or so).
