Didn't post update #40 because it was mostly administrative the most relevant information was this

ENEMY SUBSTITUTION TABLE

Also, we’ve updated the Reinforcement Packs’ enemy substitution table. Remember that the cards and tokens to play them are included in Core, Outcast, and Revenant game expansions. The Reinforcements Packs only contain the matching miniatures from the current Corvus Belli catalog.

You can access Infinity Army here.

If you are new to Infinity, don’t miss our guide on how to use Army.
The fan movement first started with a backer who asked us if the campaign’s NPCs were going to have miniature representation, or would simply exist as tokens. Over the course of the campaign, this question became a suggestion; later on, a request. It was clear fans wanted miniatures of the NPCs.

Standing out among all of them, there was one that shined with her own light: Agnes Gerung. The Stalker pilot (the Defiance shuttle) is an NPC that needs to be rescued from the clutches of the Shasvastii in Mission 1. Poor Agnes stole the hearts of backers and a movement called #PrayForAgnes arose creating the need to fulfill a dream: Agnes’ miniature in Infinity Defiance. Since we here at Corvus Belli we love listening to our fans, we set a final stretch goal for the campaign starring Agnes’ miniature. The wonderful and incredible support of all the backers made us reach the almost impossible goal during the last and exciting hours of the campaign. Finally, Agnes will have her own miniature!

Today, for the enjoyment of all her fans, we are thrilled to present to you the design of the charismatic pilot!

We are still working on her sculpt, as well in Sforza’s and Cassandra Kusanagi’s. We hope we can show them to you soon!

We remind you that Agnes is a miniature included free of charge for all those who chose the Collector’s Deluxe or Platinum pledge.

See you in the next update!

Yes, Agnes looks cool. A good omen indeed. Let's hope the sculpt is not Control-V'ed in.

Of course we still have 8 or more months to wait... Anyone bring a deck of cards?

I don't know why but I'm getting a 90's Jean Grey vibe. All Agnes needs is a headband and red hair..

Probably because of the way her costume frames her face (or at least intrudes onto the jawline) similar to how Jean and Gambit's costumes do.

New tiles!

Aloha backers,

Today’s update is going to focus on the Game Development Department.

That’s quite easy to describe: Crazy!

Although the rules for the Core Game and the initial campaign are almost finished, we are still polishing off some details to fine-tune its engine as much as possible.

We have already advanced quite a bit during the campaign on the graphical elements of the material that will be included in that Core box. We haven’t stopped working since then. Our partner, Keith Lowe, is currently busy with the art for the new tiles. Here is a sample:

WIP

We have also started to work on the expansions in depth. We already have the plot thread of the Outcast expansion, and some of the challenges you will have to face. Now, we just need to transfer it from our minds to paper!

But before we start designing the scenarios in detail, we have to definitively set the tiles that will be contained in the expansion. This requires your absolute and unwavering attention - We are going to propose a new set of tiles with different shapes! Yes - Your mind isn’t playing tricks on you - there will be different shapes that will give you a more narrow and intricate playing experience and, in addition to this, they will allow you to use the tiles included in the Core box in different ways to represent new locations in the Human Sphere. Although we still cannot reveal too much just yet, we can say they will represent unknown areas in the Infinity Universe.

WIP

We will start to paint them quite soon and make them truly a special environment. You will know everything about it with future updates!

Stay tuned!

I have no doubt that the game will be visually spectacular. CB has demonstrated that they know how to do that. The components that they have produced are proof of that.

I would like to see some sort of interlocking for the tiles, ike the D&D adventure boardgames have.

Either way, I intend to enjoy the game with my group.

The WIP tile at looks very nice.

And the prototype tiles look like they'll add quite a bit of utility to the game.

I'm looking at you future mission generator!

The orange and grey of Agnes, combined with the thick black-lining of the artwork gives me an Oni vibe (for those that remember Bungie's halo-precursor). That's not a criticism.

I quite like that render. Could end up being a rare case of the model looking better than the concept art?

Very good render/mini. This is what I expect from CB. I wonder if they will have the Agnes render ready by year's end.

According to the update, mini production proceeds well. This is a good thing. I'd be pleasantly surprised if CB did meet the July shipping date.

I wouldn't be shocked if some of these quick turnarounds are from them repurposing stuff that was to be general release into "DEFIANCE ONLY!!!".

Generally speaking particularly with digital sculpts the norm is to pick from a few options. A lot of these were likely existing alts or in the pipeline one way or another. Similar to how most of the Wyrd exclusives are clearly figures that just weren't chosen to be part of the retail release for a minion set.

The full update

Father Lucien Sforza is already here!

Greetings, dear backers!

Christmas is coming, but at CB we don't stop working on Infinity Defiance! You saw in a recent update that we are manufacturing the first Core miniatures. The first miniatures are already in bags. We are moving forward at a good pace!

https://v.kickstarter.com/1576711688_ce40dcc0396f109a1fa6c7b72a180a8ed904c1e7/assets/027/527/882/7be7748e32b22cfcb078b9cfa0e0ec58_h264_high.mp4
While we take advantage of the fact that the production team is packing the Core miniatures, we want to show you one of the miniatures in pieces so you will know how easy it will be to assemble them. To do so, we have chosen the captain and expert PanOceanian marksman, Uma Sørensen:
https://v.kickstarter.com/1576711688_40aaec47f3be506e98b17d17fec4defaf8e7c295/assets/027/527/892/ac45eaa277eb340bd72969a6ee24c0db_h264_high.mp4
And speaking of the devil - We still have 3 miniatures to show you! These miniatures were the last ones that were unlocked on the last day of the campaign: Lucien Sforza, Cassandra Kusanagi, and Agnes. We already showed you their conceptual designs, but today we will reveal the final look of one of those miniatures.

We present to you the resculpted Lucien Sforza, the most famous authorized bounty hunter in the entire Human Sphere:

Remember that Lucien Sforza is included for free as a new hero in the Revenant expansion.

See you in the next update!

@Kanluwen I think they were always clear they wanted a fast completion of the Kickstarter.

Can't believe I missed the KS. Will late pledges get the stretch goals unlocked during the campaign?

I'm pretty sure late pledges do NOT contribute towards unlocking further stretch goals: whatever was unlocked at the end of the funding period is what's unlocked. Unless of course Corvus Belli decides to throw extra stuff in, but that's entirely up to them, and I don't think that it benefits them all that much as it probably wouldn't really help encourage further pledging.

Having said that, normally unlocked stretch goals are usually available to late backers (assuming decides to allow new backers to pledge now that the funding period is over, which they are likely to - why say no to money?), but there was some weirdness in this project where CB changed some language about what would be available in the pledge manager once the funding period ended (it sounded like they were trying to get people to pledge significant amounts during the funding period rather than waiting for the post-funding pledge manager), so I'm not sure exactly what will be available for late backers.

Yeah that Sforza sculpt is fantastic - would be a excellent character model for about any sci-fi RPG or mini game really

Not only would the various character minis be great for a sci-fi RPG, the system should lend itself to RPGing with the minor add of some social and investigation skill trees.

I might have given this a little thought

They already have an RPG for the setting, just FYI. I played it for a little bit, not enough to get a real assessment.

Yes, the Modiphius RPG is a good game. I play it.

However, I've always been a sucker for systems with skill/talent/equipment cards to bring the rules to the table - literally.

But that's a discussion for outside this thread.

I'm with you here, 100%. Hell, I just love an excuse to bring a wargame miniature to a board game or RPG.

You can come over to my house and poop with the door open.
