Alrighty some progress. If I didn't post now y'all would think I was gone!

So I've made some excellent progress on the last knights unit. I've also made good progress on the crew for the trebuchet. The weather has finally moderated here a bit, and if it stays clear I might even be able to prime in the next few days, which would be great since I'd love to clear some of this priming backlog (which always happens in winter). To be frank, I don't need to prime, I have plenty of other things to work on that are primed, but I'm motivated for this project right now.

Here's some lovely WIP pics.

You can really see some of the heraldry I've been trying to do. I really wanted to do something more complicated, and the stripes are driving me crazy! But I think I'm getting better with each pass. I still have the final highlights to do for all my primary 3 colors, so I can try and clean them up even more. I could have tried with the little tape pieces, but I wanted to test myself. If it really doesn't work, then I might back out and put up the tape.

I'll definitely have to build the definition between the horse and the armor/blanket for that last guy with the trumpet, but I figure that should work itself out with the next layers.

So yes, progress! And I ordered some small goodies from myself from Victrix to celebrate approaching the end. Finishing this unit should still keep me in the green for the year.

Good effort with the stripes. Parallel lines in a curved surface are surely every mini painters worst nightmare!?

They are. I about died from them on his little shoulder shield. In retrospect I could/should have done masking tape but Now I'm too tired to care. I'm done with them now and will show photos later today!

Great work on the knights mate, I personally hate painting lines, but my hands tend to shake as soon as I try!

Yea - but fortunately they're done now and I will never do that ever again.

Progress and a finished unit!

Ser Guy the Graceful's Knights of the Realm (2nd unit of KotR)
Ever a patient knight, Ser Guy is distantly related to Lord Leinad, and when the knight's father was no longer consider a full 'peer of the realm' due to his advancing age in the main territories, he left with his retainers and son to travel to the borderlands. His men have earned particular reknown for defeating the forest goblins and knights and are adept at chasing them down. With the death of Ser Guy's Father, also Ser Guy, the coterie has been lead by the younger Guy. His wife's brother and cousin also serve in the unit (hence the striped shields). Lord Leinad truly appreciates their support.

Remainder spoilered.
Spoiler:

In addition, some peasant levies have also arrived (in a very small form) The trebuchet crew is finished! Now just awaiting the right time to construct the siege artillery (a time when it is not freezing, raining, or snowing), the crew eagerly awaits the arrival of spring.

That's pretty much it so far. Or Is it? Here's the army so far.

3 Prophetesses
Yeoman Unit - Russelliti's Half-Halberds

Hi all,

It's been a crazy time over here, but I managed to finish this (very big) gentlemen.
He's a fallen angel or a Court Noble for my Court of the Seven Headed Serpent Warband for Trench Crusade. He's also on the same size as a demon prince's base, and large enough to represent one for my thousand son's army (or a slaanesh army, which I don't own).

Here he is, lording it over all the other peons.

Close up on the base, I don't think the shine from the gloss mod podge came through.

That's only half my monthly goal, but the rest is bretonnian artillery. So yes. progress. Really happy with the dude, but time for some more painting.

Mostly, on my phone.

That's mighty impressive, right there.

That is one creepy model! All the arms on the wings and the base are super cool and your paint scheme adds to their creepiness feel. Great job finishing the knights off too

Thanks guys. This month has had a lot of family time requirements and busy evenings/afternoons so I haven't had as much progress this month (especially since I spent so much time on the big Demon Prince) but I promised I would complete more Bretonnians and so I have.

Final image shows all that was completed for the month. Two artillery pieces, two characters (if you want to count the Green Knight on foot a character, I may just use him as a Bretonnian lord on foot since that model doesn't technically exist for a Bretonnian list (the Green Knight is only on horseback).

So the to be done / to be done list.

1 Lord & 1 Helper on Foot
1 Green Knight (Lord) on Foot
3 Damsels (2 afoot, 1 on Horse)
1 Banner Bearer on Horse
3 Pegasus Knights
24 Peasant Archers
20 Crossbowmen (Border Brigands)
30 Men-At-Arms
24 Yeomen
6 Knights of the Realm Unit 1
6 Knights of the Realm Unit 2
1 Bretonnian Bombard with 5 Crew
1 Bretonnian Bombard with 3 Crew
1 Trebuchet with 3 Crew

Roughly 2100 points of miniatures here, really proud of myself for this.

To Do
The Duke/Baron on Royal Pegasus (Still needs to be finished)
3 Pegasus Knights (Unit 2) - To Be Assembled
6 Questing Knights (To Be Basecoated)
Foot Knights (20)
10 Mounted Squires
Metal Bretonnian Made to Order Minis to bolster the big blocks (Roughly 20 for different units)

No more to buy! Absolutely finished with all of the purchasing. Mini story to come with the bombard and trebuchet shortly. I need to finish the ogre loader for the bombard as well, but had to prioritize finishing the 'legal' unit over the bonus people.

Great haul for the month, and the Bretonnian completed list is mighty impressive, especially now you’ve got some big artillery.

Lovely results, Mr Blockade! Those Trench Crusade units look great on their wee display there. I've really enjoyed seeing Knights of the Realm in their old wedge formation too, so thank you for that.

You deserve to be proud of that productivity, keep on keeping on, mate.
