That is obviously supposed to mean two hit rolls per attack for a total of 12 attacks.

I think they meant double the attacks from his base 6.

Few bits and bobs from the discord:

Mono daemon armies can use the opposition's LD to determine how far away they deepstrike. For example, if they are Ld6, daemons can deepstrike 6" away.
In their own territory they can deepstrike 3" away.
This is in addition to Warp Locus.

Horrors 15pts
Plaguebearers 15pts
Bloodletters 13pts
Daemonettes 12pts

All GD are around the 300pt mark, give or take a few.

Ok if that ld-deep strike rule is true that's pretty cool.

Can use? Implies they don't have to. I'd hope so, as aren't Custodes Ld11 these days? That'd make 'em real hard to attack if you can't even use the 9" rule.

Either way, basing it on Leadership is a nifty idea. Nice to know GW can occasionally fire off those neurons and come up with a good idea.

Especially if it can combo with Ld modifier (which I assume it will). Anything that makes them more useful outside of "kill more" mechanics is welcome.

You can always use the 9" if you prefer

Ld modifiers work, but they need to be on the board at the start of the turn (no DSing in a -ld aura, then dsing in a second unit closer)

This has been happening in AoS for some time; when there is demand for mechanically creative army abilities they have been extremely successful in providing artful solutions (they still screw things up but it is mainly in the details of certain units, traits, etc). I would certainly say it does not show up in 40k as much, but something like the new CSM marks comes to mind.

No one is going to pay 2CP to move a 10 model unit of bloodletters for 130 points 6". I wouldnt. CPs are very precious in nephilim.

NL seem to be a good ally for daemons when this is true.

You're right, nobody is ever going to spend 2CP to get 10 obsec bodies onto an objective or to make a charge in the proceeding turn considerably easier /s

- We don't know if Daemons will be out within Nephilim's lifespan
- We don't have a clue if the next set of tournament scenarios will include the CP modifier
- As has been pointed out by JakeSiren, never rule out something that provides tactical flexibility, as it may turn out to be key to victory down the line.

And as Gadzilla keeps pointing out, there is nothing more true to the character of a Night Lords force than them working with Daemons. He must be thrilled by the idea...

Yep. Nope. Not going to happen. Every player is such an idiot that wouldn't spend 2 CP to quaranteed win the game.

You know how Strategic Reserves change where you can deploy based on the battle round?
Like so:

Round 1: Can't deploy
Round 2: Within 6" of a battlefield edge, but can't be in the opponent's DZ or on their battlefield edge
Round 3 or later: Same as 2, but you CAN go in the enemy's DZ

So, if you use it on Round 3 or later, your opponent can't deploy in your Deployment Zone from Strategic Reserves.

Edit: Also, I'm sad if that's all Epidemius does now.

I like the priciple. A pool of quasi Stratagems that you can freely choose. It also fits the daemon background and there is no excel sheet you need to run at the top of your head.

And then there is Epidemous, suddenly again you need to keep a tally and it is a stupid and almost incensequential bogus rule. GW never learns....

Uff, sounds like a big nerf to Epidemius. And effectively kills allying him with DG, assuming this storm thing is for pure demons only?

It still has use and you know as stratagems are free(you aren't forced to pick x amount you can use) doesn't matter if it comes up once per 100 games or 1 per 10000 games army is better with than without.

Any half decent player can find use for out of phase movement.

Does anyone else feel like the new warpstorm mechanic is kind of... meh? Some of the buffs are nice but it's unreliable, and some of the buffs are "nice to have" but not really worth trying to build around.

I want to see more first, but I guess I'm okay with it being 'meh' given how frikkin' random it's gonna be.
