Ive been bored today and have been stuck at home as there is a huge festival/carnival thing going on at the end of my street and im trying to avoid the hippys ....anyway i got to digging around in my bits box and came across some old empire troops so i dicided to use them to convert up some modern special forces style guard.
i wanted them to have crye style combats and flack armour with neck protectors and sapi plates .and mich2001 style helmets with intergrated coms .
and pvs14 style n.v.g .
the hvy weapon is a cross between a lasgun and a lascannon eg. same power as a lasgun with a higher rate of fire.
so heres the first 4 think im gona do 6 all together........

Nice work. I think they will look even better painted removing the obviousness of the GS

What did you use for the NVGs?

Will you use these for storm troopers or Penal legion counts as?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I dont game but there gona go with my true scale alpha legion . the nvg's are the bottom of the imp guard coms add on from the chimera sprue . you get two from each one. just chop it in half and green stuff on a eye relife rubber and a lense, the mounts are the feet from the guard morter legs.

nice conversions... my only comment is that the NVG's are a little oversized imo.

Otherwise very nice.

That looks pretty boss, really. Definitely one of the best attempts at this sort of thing I've seen. Why only 6?

Had a bit of free time this morning so painted up the first one of these.
its the first fig in 15+ years that i didnt undercoat black just gave him a tan basecoat and started painting right away.
i still havnt cracked the photo thing with them ether coming out to dark or to light tho i have started to use my phone rather than my digi slr as its better lol
The reason im only doing 6 is that im running out of bits for them and there not gonna be gamed with anyway.
as for the paint its dheneb stone on the combats and khemri brown on the armour with pouches and weapon in charadon granite.
tryed painting a multicam helmet but the scales bit small...
