Can you interchange them? I want to use a powerfist from a termie set on a space marine

Looks bad imho, but some people don't mind it. It basically gives the PA marines "gorilla arms." It looks a bit wonky.

I'm going to cut a terminator LC at the wrist and the glue them to a marine arm. I think the terminator arms looks too bulky and wonky. It doesn't fit.

Daemon, ignore the nay-sayers, I added a Terminator power fist to this Marine sergeant without too much hassle. You do need to slim down the shoulder and upper arm so that a power armour shoulder guard fits neatly over it. When you do this be careful of how you shave down the power conduit for the fist...you need to make it look like it is disappearing up under the shoulder guard.

Hope these pictures help.

I've done that for Lightning claws in the past. Looks better than using the whole arm.

That was what I thought.

I've also done it the other way around. I took one of the pointing powerfist pieces from the assault squad sprue (I think?) and put it on a terminator. I cut the fist at the base of the fist on both arms and just swapped them.

So, are the fists themselves the same size or just not so out of scale as to look completely ridiculous? Completely ignoring the arm on the sergeant shown above and focusing on the fist, it looks a bit oversized, to me, even for a powerfist. Not bad, but not quite right.

I believe the fists are close in size. There may be some slight variations, but in general the terminator and regular power fists are similar. However I do think IG powerfists are a bit smaller

The chaos terminator PFs are so close in size to the marine PF that it doesn't really matter. It would be much better to just cut the PF off at the wrist, and attach it to a marine arm at the wrist.

I tried this with a pair of Lightning Claws, but it didn't work so well. I'd suggest cutting it off at the wrist, and attaching it to a power armour arm, like so:

That's WIP, but you get the idea.

You actually wanna cut past the wrist, all the way until just before the elbow. If you look at Kayvaan Shrike, you can see that the gauntlet takes up a fair amount of the forearm.

Right, yeah, that's what I meant. I think it works better with powerfists than lightning claws, at least with chaos parts.

Yeah, the claw/fist should join on nearly at the elbow. Otherwise the arm winds up looking too gangly.

Something like this:

Breotan is right, I used guitar string. I got it from a friend, so I've no idea which string, just that it was the thickest I was given.

Also, the reason I left so much of the arm is because the shoulder pad wouldn't fit otherwise, and I needed the arm in that pose.
