The best way is to look at a real engine of your choice and make a crude copy with plasticard, and then add any bitz around that you have. For example, this wouldn't be too hard to replicate:

Just use some plasticard, some wire for the exhaust and then some plasticard tubing for where the exhaust is attached to the vehicle (like a large heat dissipater/muffler). Personally, I'd throw on one half of a guard flamer backpack for a fuel tank, and you're good to go.

So yeah, just copy a regular engine and add bitz until you're satisfied with its orkiness.

I thought there was an engine on the front of an ork trukk if i recall correctley. But might be expensive to be lots of kits for multiple vehicals.

^^^ This. You can have any kind of power plant, any kind of motor you want and it will fit orks. Want a small nuclear reactor and a jet turbine powering your warbuggy? Orks can make it work.

For a more traditional automotive engine like the one posted earlier, plasticard is your friend. I know I've seen either outright tutorials or at least pretty self-explanatory WIPs around Dakka and elsewhere. You could rough out the shape of the engine above with 2 stacks of plasticard squares, alternating larger and smaller ones, mounted either on a box with chamferred corners on top, or on a piece of thicker pipe or rod with attachment points filed flat.

It's now official, you lose if you don't do one or the other... or BOTH. Nuclear-powered jet engine FTW!

Heck, you can make a box with tubes going into it and put a label "Da Blak Box" with other labels "Na Open Yous!!" and it could be based on principles of Schrödinger's cat. Plaster it with danger symbols or random type since anything could be at work here.

If anyone can make it work it would be Orcs, they seem to not be aware of the impossible.

Put a Tack and Harness on your Wagon and hook it up to a Carnifex or some other group of dangerous things that would also count as a Deff Rolla.
