Some other collaborative projects will be announced throughout the year. It’s time to take our universe and brand much further!

So I'm pretty much in the video game side of things. At the very least it can't be worse then Privateer's attempt.

You're so right it totally could be... that would be Dope if its on a main console not just PC. I thought I seen something on Artstation awhile back... I'll have to Dig.

Why? Consoles suck. They have the most toxic communities and they don’t share content because the console companies are also generally console game producers too. PC is the only way to go

ya, lets not go down this stupid path until at least there is a confirmed game. No need to rouse the mods pre-maturely.

There are still mods on here?

There is a half-decent (well maybe quarter decent) version on Steam through tabletop simulator. People play minis games on there all the time.
Infinity would make a sick game if the right people were making it.

You could probably even do a direct port of Infinity into an XCOM style game. Down to using D20 probability RNG for all rolls. XCOM even has pretty nice procedural map generation at this point.

Because not all of us play PC games mainly....

I still think it's 15mm war scale infinity. I just think about the"brain strom" list, corvus already has 15mm prior to Warcrow and Infinity... I doubt " a new way to play infinity" is fantasy... Videogame... maybe.

Well see... if it is 15mm that could become huge. I'd love 15mm Tag warfare.

A 15mm Infinity game would be cool. It would be nice to see some of the more massed scale warfare. Actual Tanks, etc...

Hopefully things get far enough along that they can spill the beans at Adepticon like the article mentioned.

Co-Op dungeon crawl boardgame, ala Descent/Imperial Assault is my guess. O-12 Spec Ops vs. Combined/Morat as base game, PanO, Yu Jing, Nomad, Haqq, Ariadna antagonists as expansions. Tohaa, Shas and Aleph are a constant "counter" Spec Ops team/ever present threat that could be sprung on any mission.

Maybe something like that!

Or does "another way to play Infinity" not imply that we'll be able to use our existing miniatures to play Infinity another way?

Am I just inferring that?

Probably?

What does "play Infinity" mean? Does it mean using the rules? In which case it could be an expansion of the spec-ops rules or something else more narrative-focused than the last few years

Or does it mean using the miniatures? a Warhammer Quest-style game that you can use your existing models in?

Or is it playing in the Infinity setting? In which case it could be either of the above or something new; 10 or 15mm platoon- or company-level game, aerospace dogfighting, space naval combat, a virtual reality hacking game?

It will be a video game for console. You can buy expansion figures that plug into a reader that allow you to play different characters in the game.

It's probably not this, but a free quickstart for the Modipheus Infinity RPG has appeared (I think it's new? I've not seen it before anyway)

https://www.modiphius.net/collections/infinity/products/infinity-rpg-free-quickstart

This Quickstart gives you an introduction to the 2d20 system, a short adventure, 4 pre-generated characters and an overview of the Infinity universe.

The Infinity universe was launched by Corvus Belli as a hugely-popular tabletop skirmish game in which sci-fi themed miniatures simulated futuristic battles across the alien battlefronts of Paradiso and the internecine conflicts of the Human Sphere. Before there was a skirmish game, though, there was an RPG: Infinity started life as a homemade RPG setting for the early roleplaying adventures of Corvus Belli founders Alberto, Carlos, Fernando, and Gutier. We've been playtesting the Infinity RPG with hundreds of people for months, working hard to recapture the excitement of those first sessions and ensure that the feel of the Infinity universe will be captured in your own campaign!

WHAT IS INFINITY?

In the twisted jungles of Paradiso, humanity fights for its survival. The fierce, alien warriors of the Combined Army have poured through the Acheron Gate, descending upon the emerald jungles of the newest colonial world in a seemingly unstoppable torrent. The bestial Morat pound the Paradiso Front, where brave men and women fight ceaselessly to maintain a desperate defensive line which the sly Shasvastii penetrate with devastating ease. In the star-swept skies above, the collected might of humanity’s armadas maintain a life-or-death blockade to cut off an endless horde of alien reinforcements. And if any of humanity’s fractious forces should falter, then all may be lost…

But beyond that terrifying holding action, the intrigues and adventures of the Human Sphere spin on. Space pirates cruise through the shattered planetoids of Human Edge. Scientist adventurers delve the oceans of Varuna. Merchant guilds scheme amidst the scourging sands of Bourak. From Yutang, the Emperor gazes forth from an uneasy throne. Titanic war machines stride across the icy plains of Svalarheima. Byzantine hypercorps struggle for dominance amidst the chrome towers of Neoterra.

For the last ten years, players have tested their mettle upon the battlefields of the Human Sphere in Corvus Belli’s hugely-popular Infinity skirmish game. Now you can expand your adventures, diving deep into the amazing, never-before-seen depths of the Infinity universe with the ultimate science fiction roleplaying game.

With the INFINITY Roleplaying Game CoreBook you can play with the full dynamic 2d20 game system featuring:
Cinematic action driven by the twin engines of Heat and Momentum
The triple battlefields of Warfare, Infowar, and Psywar
A multifaceted Zones system which brings the game world to life
All New Artwork of the Infinity universe commissioned by Modiphius and Corvus Belli

Explore the definitive guide to the Infinity universe with:
A complete Chronology of the Human Sphere detailing centuries of bloodshed
The culture, history, and intrigue of seven powerful factions
Gazetteers for all twelve planets of the Human Sphere, including beautiful, full-color maps

Leap into your character by:
Forging your identity with an immersive Lifepath character creation system
Fighting for your faction with the fractious, innovative Wilderness of Mirrors scenario design system
Facing dozens of fearsome, ready-to-play adversaries who stand between you and your destiny!

The full core book will be a 368 page book packed with everything you need to roleplay in the Human Sphere and beyond!

Expect a huge range of supplements covering factions, campaigns, technology and more. It will also be supported by custom dice, floor tiles (though you do not need miniatures to play the game).

I don’t think it’s new, and if it is it’s just a new version. I’ve had the RPG QuickStart rules downloaded for a while now.

Not new. Thq QSR has been available for some time now. A nice reminder for those who did not know.

It'll be a new way to play, as in a campaign system, or a different type of scenario template from the one used as the ITS template. An updated Paradiso.

No more comments on the releases?

I think the presence of the Khawarij box is a good indication that Ramah Task force is coming, probably in book that'll be announced at the next "N". The one with the new scenario types and campaign.

Well, not quite 40 years away...

Raoul is coming. There's really nothing more to say until we get a preview of the sculpt. Even then, doesn't matter. Raoul. End of discussion.

Ha! No, not 40 years away!

Still no Al-Medinat/Ramah sectorial yet though - WTF?!?

Ramah Task Force will be here, probably announced at Adepticon. I think, without any evidence to support it, RTF got 'bumped' for the Invincible Army in an effort to quench the dumpster fire that resulted from the Uprising fiasco.

Raoul is garbage. Trash. Rubbish. Toss it into the dumpster and set it ablaze.

Far more important: Khawarij, super-jumpers in a fireteam. With Tarik. A Khawarij with a mk12 with MSV2. Another with a Heavy Rocket Launcher. New profiles.

As far as I am aware, 3rd offensive had no sectorial changes from what it was planned.

IA was planned to be released with 3rd offensive right after Uprising from the start.

Except CB told us that we would have to wait until next year (this year now) to get the IA sectorial. We didn't have to wait. Something did indeed change. Did they advance the release date for 3rd Offensive? I find that highly unlikely.

I feel just fine, thankyouverymuch. Raoul is not available in any of the factions/sectorials I play. So, he's trash. Now, if he were available in QK, and he ought to be, I would most certainly have an entirely different, and much more positive opinion about him.

The box, hence the miniatures releases for the sectorial is a January release.

So technically you needed to wait until next year.

Surely advancing the release date for the book (or even just leaving IA in 2018 as a surprise at the end of the year, similar to Druze last year) is just as likely as changing content in the book at the last minute, bearing in mind the lead time for printed stuff?

Most excellent. And nary a tactical rock in sight. Haqq continues to get outstanding minis.

As it should. No faction bias here, nope.

I really like them. The pose of the Mk12 guy is a little close to the Zhayedan from Red Veil but apart from that they’re excellent.
