Since we know FAQs are actually pending, list anything you'd like asked. We'll package them up like we usually do, then ship them off to the studio.

EDIT: I'm going to include explainations for some of these questions, as I think there are times they might not consider the ramifications of their choices.

2nd EDIT: I'm not going to add things that are both obvious in intent and the present rules.

I'll edit the questions back into this first post. So fire away!

1. How do you handle drop pods, deep strikers, and summoned daemons that land on their own troops?

2. Do terminators have terminator armor? [While this is obviously yes, it isn't actually spelled out in the rules anywhere]

3. Are units in transports "on the table"? How does this affect shooting at them, or other things that affect units on the table, such as fear of the darkness, Fury of the Ancients, Imperial Guard Officer's LD, etc? [The main rulebook neglected to say that models in transports could not be shot. Simply saying that models in transports are on the board but can't be targeted or affected by shooting and psychic powers, except in cases where already noted in the rules, would solve this issue. The LD could still be passes, but they'd be safe from fear]

4. Does a rapid fire weapon's range change to 12" when it elects to shoot twice on the move? What about if it shoots twice when stationary? [The implication of the 12" range is that gaunts become nearly impossible to stop, since they'll site with a couple of models 11" away, while orks will never be able to make it to assault since everything that could make it next turn must be pulled]

5. Do turbo boosting bikes still have an armor save or only an invulnerable save? [I would imagine that the intention was not for psycannons to be such good bike killers, but presently they are]

6. Do psycannons ignore cover saves? [The wording of the gun says only armor saves can be taken]

7. What happens to wargear models such as chaos hounds and fenris wolves when their owner turbo boosts?

8. Does mind war have to target the same unit the farseer's squad shoots? Does mind war have to roll to hit?

9.  What are the targeting restrictions for fury of the ancients? Does it target a unit? Do you need LOS to this unit? Do you need LOS to the board edge?

10. How do mystics and drop pods interact? [Drop pods don't deep strike, and mystics only presently work against deep strikers and daemons]

11. How do assault cannons and teleport homers work for non-space marines? [do they use the new rules or the old rules?]

12. What monsterous creatures/weapon layouts lose the 2d6 armor pen?

13. Can a single model charge two units? [can it move in a path other than the shortest to the first unit? Presently the rules do not allow this]

14. Can a single model split its attacks? [they could in V3, but don't seem to be allowed now]

15. If you can't move during a charge such that you are not more than 1" from enemies that you aren't charging, can you charge? [it is possible to intersperce several units such that you'd have to contact all of them or charge none under the present rules, making it impossible for single models to charge any]

16. If a weapon isn't listed as hull mounted or fixed, how do you determine it's firing arc? [drop pod is a good example]

17. What happened to the restrictions on abilities replaced by USRs? [For example, the restrictions on models with the Mark of Khorne and infiltration are now gone.]

18. How far are deep striking skimmers considered to have moved in the previous turn.

19. How many Emperor's Champions can a Black Templars army take? [presently it doesn't say 1]

20. How should flying bases be treated? [by the present rules, vehicles with bases use the base for measuring all sorts of things. This is a problem when the base is smaller than the vehicle]

21. What does the Ork Custom Force Field do? [presently it lists an effect that only works for non-vehicle models]

22. Do models block LOS in a cylinder or their actual profile?

23. Exactly how many models in a unit must have multiple wounds in order for the "Creatures with More than One Wound" casualty removal rules to kick in [present rule says "several"]?

24. Can you select a space marine command squad without an accompanying IC? [As it is written now, you can. Was this intended?]

25. Can models in terminator armor assault after firing rapid-fire weapons? [As the rules are written now they can fire heavy weapons and assault, but not rapid fire weapons]

26. do apocatheries work in your turn (ie. against plasma overheat) AS WELL AS the enemy turn (ie. against shooting casualities) or is one or the other?

27. Can you deliberately choose to hold units in reserve in an Escalation mission, or do you have to deploy all non-transported infantry units? [Presently the rules say you "may" deploy and everything else is in reserve]

28. How do you calculate wounds caused by ordnance? [Presently there's no rules for this. Most people simply use the blast rules, even though they specifically say they do not apply to ordnance]

29. Do sniper rifles pin?

30. Can models come in from reserve from the side board edge of their deployment zone? [As it's written now they can]

31. When assaulting a unit that has some models in difficult terrain, but not all, do you have to roll for difficult terrain? If you don't roll high enough, does the assault fail?

Codex Space Maries sais that Any Command squad, Veteran squad, Terminator squad, Dreadnought, Scout squad, Tactical squad, or Devastator squad may be euiped with a drop pod.

Does that mean that Terminator Assault squads and/or Terminator Command squads (neither of which is included in that list) are allowed to take a Drop Pod?

For those who'd be inclined to say "sure enough, a Terminator Command squad is both a Terminator squad and a Command squad, so why not?", how about Scout Bike squads?
Are they to be considered Scout squads and thus allowed to take a Pod?

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!
