I bought a trygon, but fancied the idea of fielding a trygon and mawloc at the same time. So I've started to build a mawloc. Using the spare mawloc parts and part of an Alien snake model, along with a carnifex body (the Alien model I got from someone elses conversion).

Still got a lot of work to do - it's my largest conversion project so far.

If anyone has any tips for taking photos, or a yseful link it would be appreciated. The marine is actually dark brown/grey, not light brown as he looks. Tried with flash and no flash on, can't get it the correct colour.

Any suggestions/tips/or even criticism are welcome

Somewhere in space, close to Beetlejuice

That looks fantastic dude! Excellent use of spare parts with lashings of ingenuity!

Thank you.

Plans:
Add two more arm sockets (red circle) - spike the rest of the tail - add the main shoulder carapace possibly with two towers - continue the chests plates up towards the head - maybe add some drool using a hot glue gun.

Also to actually pick a colour scheme for my nids using the army painter on DoW2.

That's pretty awesome and an ambitious use of spare parts!

One suggestion though, you might want to think about spacing the claws a bit further apart when you get to putting them on, they might be a bit crowded all together on that torso section. That said I could be wrong, you'll just need to experiment and see what looks right for the model.

If brute force isn't the answer, it's only because you aren't using enough of it.

All body spikes now attached, think i'll go with these positions for the arms.
