I was just thinking that currently with army likes Brettonians and Tomb Kings which currently require the army to have a certain character (who, while i'm not sure about TK. Can't be the general).
Will the writers when they finally get around to updating the lists (although i'm really not going to hold my breath on Brettonians) keep these restrictions, which i believe they will for TK because the required character is the Liche priest/master who stops the army to crumble. While i'm not so sure about the Bretts because its more a fluffy restriction.

And, if they do. Do you think that they will allow for an increased percentage of points for heroes to accommodate the compulsory use of two characters like IIRC they did back in 5th. Or possibly will they give the compulsory character a special rule enabling that character to be the general if no other character is available (that ones mainly aimed at Brettonians)

The FAQs cover the TK at least. I would check those out.

FAQ does not cover the Bretts. They have to share the hero points among the BSB and any other hero level characters; effectively erasing the previous 'extra Hero slot' they were given in their army book.

Just one more way 8E boned the Bretts. The only thing the Bretts got better on was their trebuchet (and that only in relation to other stonethrowers), which still retains S5 (10) hits.
