I noticed that dakka archives absolutely everything you post. So to get the ball rolling, what are some things you've posted in the past? How have your views changed on them?

Here, 2nd post ever:
"GW does occasionally lower prices. It doesn't get talked about much, but it does happen. It's usually in some indirect form. Like ravenwing bikes boxes. Or new chaos terminators for $40, although those haven't been released yet."

Lol, at the time in white dwarf the new chaos terminator plastics were advertised for $40. Mostly because the metal termies at the time were $10. Shows what I know. But what I said is still mostly true...e.g. the chaos knights from fantasy. Originally a $50 box or $10 a blister. The new plastics are more detailed and a fraction of the price.

Post # 6:
"Of course mismanagement of money and operations is key. GW sells more models than other game companies but lost money. Obviously they're spending way too much."
Lol, year 2007. The funny thing is every time every year there's a new report I repeat myself. At least they're starting to get it.

On HBMC chaos codex review:
"That had to be the most biased review I had ever seen. In theory when someone does a review, they do it with an open mind and try to point out both good and bad. This was nothing except specific negativity. The first two paragraphs are nothing except insults."

What's funny is I now agree with him. Complete reversal...

2008:
"How about releasing rules for free for playtest? I love the idea, I love having codecies first put in white dwarf then revised later. It makes for a better game. It doesn't increase sales. That's the bottom line, and that's what the higher ups care about. We jokingly used to say, "THis is a place of serious miniature business."
Thoughts on that haven't changed.

Lol, 2008 on how to use a land raider:
"I start by using my land raider with my left hand. If the opponent is good enough to push me, well, I'm not left handed."

On why guardsman are willing to shoot plasma:
"It's actually really easy to get a guardsman to shoot a plasma gun. A carnifex shows up, they shoot their lasguns. Then you tell them, "Hey, wanta hurt that carnifex? This is an awesome gun powerful enough to do that!"

Are powerfists in tactical squads worth it?:
Okay, deadshane needs to make a list with lots of powerfists, then GBF should make a list with no power fists. They should swap lists, play each other, and try to prove their points right. Then deadshane can make a list and not swap, GBF can make a list and not swap, and they can try to prove to each other again.
Grudge match: To fist or not to fist? That is the big question!
Then I will prove them both wrong by taking assault squad sergeants with dual power weapons! Yeah! That's the ticket! Taking a setup more expensive than a powerfist and less effective, only a true man amongst men would try such a feat.

I was so on the money about this:
"Remember when they tried to do Apocalypse in Warhammer Fantasy? Let's see...
they had a "special deal" of all Chaos Knights, mind you, the old more expensive metal ones.
one with lots of Dark ELf Cold One Knights. ALso, mind you, the old more expensive metal ones.
One with lots of Minotau...oh they haven't screwed those people yet"

On playing Dark Angels:
"Poor poor dark angels... "
Why do I play that army again? Even I know they're bad.

On how to use a chaos landraider. My advice this time is much better:
"It's okay to have a chaos landraider without a payload.
In that case, it's a dedicated static tank. It's main job is to sit in the back and shoot. In kill point missions, it acts like a safe zone for injured squads if you do squad rotations. In objectives, you sit a small scoring unit inside and leave it on the objective."

Lol, I'm still crazy.

"There is no limit to the human spirit, but sometimes I wish there was."
Customers ask me what army I play in 40k. Wrong Question. The only army I've never played is orks.

The Connoisseur of Crap.
Knowing is half the battle. But it is only half. Execution...application...performance...now that is the other half.
