Hey guys, quick question.

Does a jezzail model have 2 wounds or 1? The stat line says 1 but the description mentions two models that make up the team.

Thanks!

If they statline says 1, then they have 1 wound.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

Yep. They only have one "wound". Like cavalry, killing one of the models makes the other useless to you, as the commander, so they're essentially dead.

Which makes Empire players out to be cold, heartless jerks when they abandon their knights whose horses fall in battle, but for us Skaven players? We're just that much more cunning for doing so.

I think what tends to happen (from a fluff standpont, not a rules one) is that once you've killed a couple models, the survivors start linking up. That is why even unarmored cav and skaven weapon teams get a 6+ save - sometimes a surviving rider grabs a surviving horse...

Actually now skaven weaponteams are infantry with a strange base, so they dont get a 6+ save for being "cavalry". Instead they come with heavy armor as standard in the new army book.
